This giveaway is CLOSED!
Congratulations to Brandy!
The time has finally arrived! The Huge Handmade (& Vintage) Giveaway is here! I apologize for the slight delay! A gal experienced some flooding in her home and being that we lost everything in the flood in May, I could relate and felt compelled to hold things off until she could get her fabulous items to me! So very glad I did, too, because they are beautiful! Anyway, this giveaway is a collection of a dozen or so fabulous bloggers, crafters, and artists and they're going to share some of their favorite things with you! I even added a bit of stuff, too! I thought this would be a great way to share some talent of independent artists and crafters and get their name out there when not eveyone can afford to take out advertisements on blogs. So here you'll get introduced to a dozen wonderful crafters and the best part: ONE lucky winner gets to take ALL of this home! That's right... ONE! It could be you! Here is what is up for grabs!
*not pictured here is the yellow cupcake stand & photo prints by Reva May.
Here is an in-depth look at each item and the sponsor!
Here is an in-depth look at each item and the sponsor!
Handmade Down Home Plaid Yo-Yo Hair Clip
Miss Molly Moon is offering up one her brilliant hair clips! This specific one is called Down Home Plaid and it is darling! Molly made me one of my own (The Kaelah Bee!!!) and it's a sweet lavender with hearts print! I was thoroughly impressed with how well made the hair clips were and if you don't win, you should swing by her shop and pick out a few for yourself!
Vintage Imperial Camera
Carly of Swift Designs contacted me and offered up one of her vintage cameras for grabs to one of my lucky readers as part of the big giveaway! The Vintage Imperial Camera would look great perched on anyone's shelf with old books or just by itself. Carly also sent me a rad nautical scarf that I can't wait to wear! Be sure to stop by her blog and etsy for more fabulous vintage finds!
Antique Skeleton Key with Crown Necklace
Jen Latini of Venenzia is offering up a handcrafted vintage inspired necklace from her line of jewelry. This necklace is antique finished brass and the key measures in at roughly 3 inches. Jen sent me a lovely green-marbled-bead necklace that I'm excited to wear with a cozy cardigan! The jewelry is incredibly well made and it's the type of stuff you'd expect to see in a boutique downtown! Jen is also a super sweet gal and you should swing by her slice of the blogosphere and say hello!
Yellow Paper Mosaic with Frame
Danielle of Little Alaska has sent over a gorgeous framed yellow mosaic she made! It's a nice artful way to throw in a pop of color to any room. The thick black frame and white matte really helps the yellow pop. She sent over a handpainted wood-cut owl figurine to me, too. She and her boyfriend have an etsy up and running to check it out!
How Does Your Garden Grow? Necklace
SusannaValentine is a quirkly little jewelry business run by a sweet 15 year old girl with a dream to make a business out of a hobby she loved. She sent over two necklaces to me and up for grabs in the giveaway is the How Does Your Garden Grown? necklace. The little watering can features two little blue crystal beads pouring out. Be sure to swing by the blog or shop and check it out for yourself!
Feather Earrings
Dianne of DearOhDeer was referred to the giveaway by a friend of hers and I was excited when she emailed me! She offered up some gorgeous feather earrings for the lucky winner and sent me a super cute red studded headband (The Red Bull, how clever!). It's sweet earrings like this that make me miss having regular earlobes! Any lady would be lucky to sport these in her ears. They look like something you'd buy directly from a store so the craftsmanship is superb! Check out her Flavors website or her shop for more goodies!
Coral Organza Blossom Hair Clips
Nicole of The Brown Owl contacted me about including her organza blossom hair clips in the giveaway and boy oh boy! She sent me a white pair and offered up a coral pair of a lucky winner! They are the most darling little things and they're so incredibly well made! They look great on anyone and any hair color/style! Her etsy is full of clips and headbands in every single color you can imagine! If you don't win these, I urge you to stop by and pick up a few yourself! They also make great little gifts!
Hand Tooled Basket Weave Leather Pendant Necklace
Hana of Oh Feathers sent over two of the cutest necklaces I've ever seen! Both necklaces are leather pendants on cute chains. The one up for grabs in the giveaway is a hand-tooled basket weave leather pendant necklace on a 15" chain. I love the fact that it's arranged on the chain vertically rather than horizontally! It'll be a great statement piece for Autumn! Be sure to check out some of her other hand-tooled necklaces! They're absolutely brilliant! Also- she offers free shipping to the USA always!
Visit her on the web: Etsy
Tick Tock Clock Felt Brooch
Laura of Shabby Doll Boutique sent over two of her handmade felt fabric brooches! I snagged the ice cream cone one (Can you blame me?! It's so cute!) and up for grabs is the Tick Tock Clock brooch! The sweet pastel colors are darling and would look great on a tote bag or cardigan! Be sure to swing by her Etsy and get an ice cream cone brooch for yourself and all of your friends!
Visit her on the web: Etsy
Candy-Colored Bracelet and Charm
Pinkarol of Kawaii Factory sent over some sweet little handcrafted pieces all the way from Barcelona! She sent me a little Strawberry + Polkadot bracelet and sent a cute candy-colored bracelet and charm for the giveaway! Her shop is inspired by lolita fashion and vintage, so you're sure to find some sweet little duds there!
Visit her on the web: Blog/Shop
5 Fine Art Photography Prints
Reva May sent over 5 of her Fine Photography Prints for a lucky reader to snag! They'd look great in a solid black frame they'd compliment almost any interior. I was unable to get any good photographs that truly captured the essence and beauty of the prints, but you can view one of them above. Others can be viewed on her website and blog!
Yellow Scalloped Cupcake Stand
Danielle of OliviaDru makes some lovely woodwork pieces for your home! This adorable handcrafted cupcake stand is just too cute to pass up. It'll make you want to bake cupcakes daily! She sent me over a white one and Mike and I put it together immediately! If I had time to tonight, I'd bake two dozen cupcakes just to sit on it! I really can't express how cute they are! Her etsy is currently on "vacation" (for lack of a better term) as she's recovering from the flood, but you can check out her blog and stay updated on when she'll be back in business! (Really, I mean after the flood here, how could I deny such rad items to be included in the giveaway?!)
Hodgepodge of Goodies
I decided to top the giveaway off with my own little assortment of treasures! Mike and I stumbled upon a few Polaroid Land Cameras (the rainbow ones!) and three embroidered owl pictures during Oktoberfest so I thought one of each would be a nice addition to all the lovely goodies you've seen already! Also added - a vintage owl brooch and a handmade autumn-inspired headband from my etsy.

My favourite tradition during this time of year is being able to make hot cocoa with my husband regularly while having a conversation as an autumn candle is lit (like apple crisp or pumpkin pie scented candles). We talk a lot with each other but usually during the summer and spring we are always running around outside doing things that it is nice to catch up and grow even closer together in the autumn and winter time. We've been doing it for years (been together ten years since high school days).

ReplyDeleteAnddd my favorite tradition I guess would be craving pumpkins. I'm from South Florida and so we only really have summer and winter, but I want to move somewhere where I can go to a pumpkin patch with my husband and kids and carve pumpkins under a bunch of brown trees. That's a tradition I want for the future =]

I just love the feel of fall in the air although it is sometimes a long time coming in the deep south. Now that we are grandparents, we love the the little grands to come down on Halloween and Trick or Treat on our street. Then the whole family get together for Thanksgiving Day. My husband makes the BEST dressing!
