MIXTAPE MONDAY: usher in the autumn leaves.

This week's mixtape is dreamy. To me, at least! I really just want to crawl into a bubble bath with a book and this mix in the background. Plans for this evening? CHECK!

I've been kind of boring lately. I apologize! This weekend was very very busy and I'm hoping it really was as productive as I think. Still so very much to do! Hopefully I'll pick it back up this week and actually post something interesting! ;)

By the way, you can still enter THE GIVEAWAY!  It ends tonight and you've got a really good chance of snagging 1 of 4 prizes!

Productivity

I am happy to report that it is only noon and I've already accomplished so much today! I've responded to all but ONE email (which I'm about to do!), I've charted out blog layout commissions and picked up working on one's I've already started. I've updated the CLOSET with 16 new items and I've weighed/priced several more orders. I've packed them up and they'll be ready for the post office in a few hours! I also cleaned the kitchen, packed Mr. Flynn an epic lunch, and worked a bit more on the blog design here!

As hesitant as I was in the beginning, I'm really starting to warm up to this ~clean and simple layout! I had no intentions on leaving it like this, but it's received so many wonderful words and I think it's a nice change of pace for me. Things will DEFINITELY still change sooner or later as I want to put up a fun Autumn-friendly layout, but I'm impatiently waiting on the leaves to change! (I KNOW, it's only the last week of August, but I'm SO ready!) I also don't have access to a scanner until Tuesday so the instax will just have to stay the way they are for the time being.

Speaking of productivity and updates, I updated the closet with almost 20 new items today! You should go check them out and buy something! If you buy more than 1 thing, email me at kaelahscloset@gmail.com and I'll combine the shipping (or try to give you a deal)! (I bought a kitchen scale so I can calculate shipping appropriately and not over or under charge!) Apparently I was too generous last week and I ended up losing so much money on international orders! :( Feel free to email me with any questions you might have about them! CLICK HERE to check them out!

Exciting news! There are only TWO sponsorship spots available for the month of September! One large and one small! And remember how I said I was sponsoring Elsie's blog, A Beautiful Mess, this month? Well, that's not all! I'm also sponsoring Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky and Elycia of Love Elycia! So my sponsors are going to be getting a trifecta of traffic, I hope! It's not too late! Shoot me an email at KaelahBee@gmail.com and we can talk! You can view my traffic HERE and I'm also available to whip you up a sweet button for a discounted price!

Okay! I'm off to be productive again!

Blog Re-design

Hey y'all! Things are going to be a bit crazy, mismatched and hit-or-miss around here over the weekend! I'm going to be redesigning the blog and I haven't even remotely decided how I want to go about it yet! BUT in order to ensure that I do something about it, I tossed my current layout, threw up an impromptu header (totally inspired by Naomi of The Rockstar Diaries and my rekindled love for my Instax), and now I'm going to be spending the entire weekend designing blog layouts for clients and myself! Huzzah! I guess that's one way to do it, right? (Hopefully the real/new layout/header will be up in a few days! I'm shooting for Monday at the latest!)

In the meantime, enjoy 6 of the instax photos from yesterday! (4 in the header and 2 above!) Yay! Oh, and check out Naomi's blog. It's honestly one of my absolute favorites and the fact that she's a bully mama makes me adore her even more! (and yes, I realize by saying 'inspired' I really mean "I totally jacked this idea, and hope she doesn't hate me for it!") The full blog redesign will go live in early December!

Outfit Post : Thursday, August 26 (& 700 posts!)

I've been a bit slow on the outfit photos lately. It seems like it's hard to get photos of them when either a) I feel sluggish b) Mike is working or c) I have to be at class so early the three days I go to school. Phew! Well, I have today's outfit (which we shot last night!) and yesterday's outfit (which is all sorts of horrible really).

We were driving home and I saw these two cute barns and a teeeensy little hidden road that lead to them. It was obviously on someone's property but there were no signs saying to stay out so we went for it. It was a bit of a difficulty to get down there but we did! The timing was perfect (6pm, as the sun is setting and everything has a orange glow). We shot lots of photos with the instax, too! (I'll post those soon!)

Now I'm sitting in class (shh!) and I just gave a presentation on Betsey Johnson in Business for VisCom. I have a lot to finish re-reading before Literature class at 1. (I always seem to forget stuff unless I read it twice)

Anyway, enough talk... more photos! (There are TONS so I'll cut them!)

Wedding Wednesday!

This week I am featuring just one wedding of my lovely lady friend from O'More, Amanda (now Mrs. Barnhart!) Now, I know most of you don't know anything about Amanda but let me let you in on a little secret or two... she LOVES the color pink (and I mean pinkkkkk. magenta, maybe? fuschia? PINK!) and she LOVES kitties. She's such a sweet gal and she's one heck of a talented graphic designer. This will probably be photo heavy so I'll cut it after a couple! Amanda is going to let us in on her bride-on-a-budget tricks and tips, too!

FUNK OFF! Handmade Vegan Bath + Body Products!

FUNK OFF!"

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the super rad Michelle who runs the sweet little company FUNK OFF! with her (future) husband, Chad! They are based out of northern California and they're looking to spread the Funk Off word! I was flattered and excited when they asked me to check out some of their products and let them know what I thought!

Here is a blurb from their etsy so you will have a little bit of background info!
We hope you like what you see and we're certain you'll like what you smell when your order arrives! We've got a product for just about anyone, if you gotta get fresh why not Funk Off!

All of our products are natural and cruelty free. In fact, all of our soaps are Vegan with the exception of the honey soaps, since technically honey is not Vegan. Our body sprays and lotions are Vegan too!
All of our natural, earth friendly products are made by us, we only work in small batches to ensure top of the line quality and freshness and long lasting scent. Every little measure, chop, mix, pour, cut, fold, stamp, wrap is done by us. We put the utmost care and attention into every detail, every step of the way to create a perfect product every time…not factory perfect, truly handmade perfect!!!
All of our scents are favorites. We’re not kidding! Originally we started with a trial of about 16 different scents (imagine smelling one after the other, 16 times in a row!), but once the results were in we were able to narrow it down to our Top 8 scents. So, every scent we bring you is the best one!
Each soap is made using the finest ingredients. Our natural soaps boast quality, the hemp and shea butter soaps have higher amounts of actual hemp seed oil and naturally crushed shea butter than most of their kind. And the palm oil in our bases comes from vendors that are members of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil!
Every bar of soap has a nice layer of exfoliating, apricot seed on it's top with a gentle amount of exfoliant throughout the entire bar.
We hope you enjoy all of our natural products and eco friendly packaging! We do our best to make sure we are bringing you a truly handmade product, using hand stamped recycled packaging materials.

I was really excited when the box arrived and I opened it in the middle of class! The room quickly filled up with the sweet aroma of the soaps! I caught myself putting on the lip balm every 15 minutes even though I didn't need it! It stayed soft and silky for quite some time but it smelled so fantastic!

(I realize now that I forgot to add the 3 lip balms in the photos, but I assure you, they are awesome!).

FUNK OFF!
FUNK OFF!
FUNK OFF!

Michelle and Chad were so kind to send so many lovely goodies over to us! They even included more manly scents and such so that Mike could enjoy them too!

Okay but the REAL KICKER was opening the package and having something for Miss Georgia courtesy of their little pups! There was even a note! That truly tickled me because I'm such a fan of really personal packages and believe me, Georgia enjoyed that little treat!

FUNK OFF!

So my review: We can't stop using the stuff! As of right now, out of the soaps, the Sapmoss Bonsai has been my favorite, but we keep them in both of our bathrooms and we've both been caught washing our hands simply for the sake of the good smell and the nice scrub on top! And they're so pretty, too!

Mike and I walk around the house with our hands up to our faces smelling them and then we'll run over to the other and say "Smell this!" or "What flavor is on your hands?!"... I'm not exaggerating when I say this! (Seriously... come over. I bet we'll make you smell our hands... or at least go in one of our bathrooms and wash yours!)

Basically, Michelle, can we be your official spokespeople for Funk Off because we are IN LOVE! I'm requesting Funk Off! bubblebath, dish soap, and candles! The scents were so wonderful and so unique!

Mike favors the Oatmeal - Milk - Honey Later Gator Lotion but I'm loving the Cool Mountain Moss Lotion! We've been spraying the Lavender Vanilla Keep It Fresh body spray around the house along with the Sandalwood Vanilla Nag Champa! (Aren't the names great?!)

FUNK OFF!

FUNK OFF! comes highly recommended by both Mike and I (I guess I should throw Georgia in that mix, too!) and I definitely suggest you check out their Etsy, snag a few sweet-smelling goodies and spread the Funky word! CLICK HERE to visit the shop!

Have any of you ever used Funk Off! products? If so, what did you think? What is your favorite? For those of you who haven't, do you think you'll ever give them a shot? Let them show you what loveliness smells like!

MIXTAPE MONDAY: wedding edition.

I had someone ask me on my FormSpring to do a wedding themed mixtape so here it is! Granted my choice in songs may be vastly different from yours, but hopefully you can find a tune or two that you're into! There are a few repeat artists (hey! I like what I like, okay?!) so maybe it's not a totally 100% legit mixtape of sorts, but this is what I want so there you have it! Snag the artwork and toss it into your iTunes if you'd like!

There is going to be a lot a buzz around this little blog today so be sure to check back frequently! We've got a big giveaway coming up, as well as some fun photos and a review of Funk Off! handmade soaps and lotions! Huzzah!

Outfit Post : Sunday, August 22 + Photos

Mike and I ventured out to a little park in Spring Hill today. We shot some photos, found a cool spider, and then got in the car to find a new place. We finally took this long backroad and ended up at a dead end/no tresspassing sign. We decided to work with it. A sweet little butterfly welcomed us by landing on my arm and suckling at my tattoo for about 7 minutes. Such a cute little thing. I finally shoo'd it off and it came back. Again and again and again. Finally it chased me to the car haha. Here are some photos! Including an awesome Thorn Ring from my sponsor, Lola and George!
