Orange Bomb


Thank you everyone for your kind words and positive thoughts re: Mike's grandpa the other day. Unfortunately we lost him yesterday. Mike's been taking it pretty hard which is totally understandable. It seems so silly that I'd write this while sharing "what I wore" so please forgive the method of delivery. I just wanted to say that your sweet gestures did not go unnoticed. Go hug someone you love today and tell them how much they mean to you.

You get an outfit today instead of an HTB post. I haven't even had 2 minutes to sit down and think. Our loft looks like a tornado hit it and we finally get the keys to our new house today. Work wiped me out this weekend and I had a scary run in with some black ice on the interstate. We're going to eat some breakfast and then head over to Murfreesboro for the visitation. I can't help but think blogging is so trivial in comparison but I love my little corner of the internet so I didn't want to leave it high and dry for two days.

I've got a few things planned for the blog this week while I'm in limbo between homes. Most of them are outfits... a sort of farewell to our loft and the sweet brick backdrop I could rely on when it was too cold/hot/wet to go outside. See y'all tomorrow! xo

    So sorry to hear about your loss. What a rough time for you both with everything else going on. Am sending lots of positive vibes and good karma to you both and to Mike's family. My boy just lost his Gran on Friday- not totally unexpected- but I'm sat in a hotel room in a completely different continent which makes it pretty hard.

    With that said, and without sounding horribly flippant- you look really lovely in orange. Beautiful outfit.

    I love this outfit - the orange in the dress really pulls out the colors in your tattoo and the embroidery on the cardigan keeps it from being too neutral- I love it. So balanced.

    Goodness that is so heart breaking to hear :(. Please tell Mike I'm so sorry for his loss! His grandpa is in such a better place now. I know alot of people say that, but if you really think hard about it it will make you feel better, I promise. "To be absent of the body is to be present with the Lord." He is in great hands now. No sickness, no pain, just love and happiness.

    You look beautiful as always. Orange is most definitely your color.

    I'm really sorry to hear about Mike's uncle. I know what it feels like. I lost my uncle when I was 12 and we were very close. It was really hard, but I know he's in a better place instead of being in pain.

    I can't believe you guys are moving into your new house! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of everything when you have it done and decorated. I'm mostly looking forward to your closet!

    I'm so sorry for your loss, it's never easy, i just lost my grandma on friday so i understand. The best comfort i've found is that she's at peace, death is hardest on those of us left behind, and it hurts like hell.

    My Grandpa (Like a father) passed away two Christmas ago (one year ago), and i know how much difficult and sad is... =(

    Maybe it's because my school colors were orange and black, but I love those two colors together! And those shoes are beyond amazing!!
