Goodwill Finds!

Mike and I had a semi-successful day of thrifting on Wednesday! While I won't blog everything we picked up (because some of them need to be painted, etc), I will blog our two favorite finds of the day! We headed up to Franklin and went to the Goodwill over on the North/West side of town. While we were there, we happened upon this little side table that we thought would be perfect for the entrance of our house to store a little bowl on for keys, etc. But upon looking closer at the tag, we were greeted with an unexpected little surprise!

Well, someone wanted to make sure this little puppy didn't work so they clipped the electrical cord, but luckily this is something Mike could probably fix. For right now, though, we're happy to display it at our front door as it makes for a wonderful accent piece and conversation starter! How lucky did we get?!

Also, we snagged ANOTHER Polaroid camera! In PERFECT condition! This puppy works like a dream! Currently on my last pack of expired Polaroid film, we've been playing with it all day!

  2. I never thought of going to goodwill for a sewing machine! Thanks for the idea. I was JUST thinking about where I'd need to go and how much I'd need to save.

  7. The sewing machine is inside the table!? Haha, that might be a totally ordinary thing but I've never seen it before. Awesome.

I wish we had thrift stores in the UK. We have charity shops but they're not quite the same.

How is Baby G doing? Is her eye okay now? x

  8. katie: yea! back in the old days, this was totally the norm! and she's good! she still has that little pink bubble (which is scar tissue so it probably won't ever go away). the good news is that it doesnt bother or hurt her in anyway, and she actually doesnt even notice it. the surgeries were necessary, but she's been a champ! thanks for asking about her!

  16. $13 dollars for a sewing machine! Thats awesome! My sewing machine is a hand me down from my Mum - technically it's on long term loan and eventually I'll get my own one lol.
