Berries and Cream

This outfit is from a couple of weeks ago before setting out on my whirlwind adventure. I haven't had a chance to shoot any while being gone but I'm hoping to snap one of what I'm wearing today. (Hint: My favorite shoes... my Gavinas! Seriously do yourself a favor and go buy these babies!) Anyway, I've kind of fallen in love with this outfit. It's been a while since I wore my lace biker jacket, but it was perfect for this pinstripe dress and cream/red shoes! I'm also continuing my clutch fascination with this new Flea Bag beauty! I have another Flea Bag, too, and I'm constantly afraid I'm going to get them dirty! Cream and white are not my strong suits haha
Today I'm focusing on getting back into the groove. We spent yesterday at the Flea Market and we left with some doozies so I'll have to share those soon! We got the itch to redecorate the living room last night at midnight so maybe that'll light a fire under my butt to finish the entire house so we can share! We've only been here 4.5 months... ahem. haha! I'm totally one of those people that loves cleaning (for the most part... scrubbing that bath tub yesterday wasn't my idea of a good time), so I'm breaking out the big boys. Dusting everything, scrubbing everything, and daydreaming of stuff like legit vacuums and pressure washers. My car could really use some TLC, too. Maybe with a fancy Dyson handheld vacuum from Argos UK, or an entire fleet of detailers... whatever will do the trick haha! As far as "work" goes, if you've emailed me in the past 2 weeks and yet to hear a response, it's on it's way today! It'll be nice to get back into a normal work routine. Here's to hoping I can do it!
Also working on some announcments for (hopefully) this week, followed by a Kaelah's Closet cleanout and trying out some fun DIYs we came up with last night. I'm feeling motivated, y'all! Here's to an awesome week ahead! Anything exciting on your agenda this week?

  4. Lovely as always :-)
I LOVE cleaning and I prayed for our vacuum to die (inherited from my husband) and I accidentally vacuumed up some eggs my son left on the floor and the vacuum filled up with mold! So we went to Best buy and got a dyson :-) The cheapest one they have, it was like $200 and I think they had a sale. But now I am obsessed with cleaning my house, once you get a Dyson you'll wonder why you never got one sooner, I swear the air quality in my house is a billion times better and my home actually smells like clean laundry :-)

I can't wait for a shop your closet!

    1. I know it's so silly to get so worked up about cleaning products and applicances, but i've heard SUCH great things about dyson. we don't even have carpet (less some rugs in our house) but still, we have a janky little college vacuum. i've heard the dyson does really well on hardwood too? I'd pay that just to have a clean car! :P haha

  13. This is the damn cutest! I still have my college vacuum too, but it sucks with the best of them (that's what she said).

I like vacuuming believe it or not...that's pretty much the only cleaning I like to do!

  15. Cute outfit! I love those shoes...I might have to look into getting some, though I'm usually scared of pointed toes (I have big feet). I love cleaning too!! I never have time for it, but when I get in the mood to clean, don't even try to get in my way. haha!

  21. This outfit is great! I have a skirt just like that dress, with the folds at the bottom and everything, but alas it has never been worn because it is just too poofy. Maybe a fitted jacket could help bring it into line though!

  22. Ah that outfit is gorgeous. I have a skirt v.similar to that dress, with the folds at the bottom and everything, but alas it has never been worn because it's just too poofy! Maybe a fitted jacket could bring it into line though!

  23. I always like your outfits, but this one is a standout! Everything is perfect, from the length of the blazer (so many out there are too long), to the length and cut of the skirt, to the way the clutch and shoes echo each other's cream trim without being matchy. SO CUTE!

  27. Are those the Ida's in tangerine? I'm tempted to order them, as they're on sale, but I'm scared they're orange-y as the name implies... yours, however, look nice and red :)
