Garden of Versailles

I kind of love being a blonde. Don't tell anyone that though! Shh! I was really really missing pink though, so I had to give it a go. Even if only for a few minutes. I feel like I have cotton candy hair when it's pink and I kinda sorta love it. I might be rocking the pink even more in the upcoming days/weeks! It's funny how several of my friends have made mention that pink just seemed natural for me, but thinking about me having blonde hair was a total stretch. Our friends Elle and Bryan came over last night for a little photoshoot (it was a bust) and dinner (at Logan's.. I felt so sick after!). Elle made this comment while we were out and about and it made me laugh. It's true though. My personality is much more suited to candy colored hair, I think. Speaking of E&B, they're always such great company. I love hanging out with them. Hopefully when our busy schedules pass we can set up a camping/canoeing trip! I definitely can't wait for that one!

Tonight I have to be at work early... 6pm. We're housesitting for my parents while they're away and I plan on getting a whollllle lotta pool time. Hopefully I'll get a little bit of a tan maybe (a tan?! who am I?!). I like seeing my freckles darken though.

I really really love this dress, but wish it were about 4 inches longer. Bike shorts remedy that luckily. I opted to pair it with a thrifted black belt to carry out that stark contrast (and in the shoes, too!) Alright, back to the grind! xo

PS; More about Georgia -- She spent about 10 or 11 hours at the vet on Thursday. It was intended to be a regular checkup to see how she was fairing from her ointment and steroids but it turned into something a bit more serious. She had her thyroid checked again. Right now signs are pointing to the possibility of Cushing's Disease. It's treatable, but can be fatal. Mike and I have been pretty upset about it all night. We're trying so hard to be positive and thinking that it's only a possibility. But the simple thought of not having my sweet girl in my life just kills me. Hopefully we will know more in the next couple of weeks before she goes back on the 30th. Until then she's getting more cuddles than she knows what to do with! Thanks so much for your sweet words and well wishes. Please keep Baby G in your thoughts for the next little while! We're determined to beat whatever it may be!

  4. My neighbor had a horse that had cushing's disease and the horse is over 30 now and is fine. :) Taken care of properly the lifespan stays about the same. I did a report on the disease in high school.
I love the pink hair AND the blonde! I wish I could afford to have so much fun hair to play with.

  6. I love your blond hair! I really want a blond wig now. ^_^ And I'm stopping at H&M tomorrow for bike shorts. Without leggings I can't wear my skirts anymore and it's too hot for leggings.

  9. Oh my. That is so scary about your little fur baby. I can't even imagine. My Italian Greyhound mix (whom happens to be like a child to me) has seizures sometimes, and it is the scariest experience. I will definitely keep Georgia in my prayers. Sweet puppy dog! <3

Also, LOVE the pink hair with that dress. I am IN LOVE with the dress... My forever 21 never has the adorable things I see online that I love! BOO

  14. My best wishes for baby G!I've been through it as well and all I can say is that you should keep tinking positively and not panic over the remote possibilities.I know it's impossible to do so but do it for her,she can sense every change in your mood and if you get stressed or sad she will get stressed as well.Even if it is Cushing's it is treatable and she will have many many more years around u two! It'll take a lot of effort from your part to keep it under control but I am sure u will beat it!
Fingers crossed that is nothing at all! <3

  19. I have been enjoying your blog quietly for a little while now, but want to comment on the cushing's disease. My "puppy" has had it for about 7 years now and he has done really well. But what I did was ridiculously expensive. We took him to a homeopathic vet. They do chinese medicine and acupuncture for pets. I wanted to give it a try because the traditional treatment for cushing's is so tough on the poor dears.

Good luck and I hope Georgia does well!

  24. I love everything you wear! I'm obsessed with your blonde locks but I also love you with pink. Your dress is gorgey. I hope that Georgia is okay. She seems like a tough cookie so I'm sure she'll kick the ass of anything that comes her way!

  25. I think I haven't said that before: I LOVE these little dimples when you smile, especially with the cheek piercings! I've always wanted the exact same piercings but I'm lacking of dimples so I never got pierced cheeks.
Anyway, once again you look adorable and I'm totally in love with the outfit! I think the black leggings with the lace trim compliment the floral dress perfectly!

  26. Aw I will be praying for little Georgia! My dog had Cushing's and passed away a few years ago. My family couldn't afford a lot of the treatments available, especially because he had other medical issues too, but fortunately, he had lived a very long life already (he was 13). Hang in there! I'll be crossing my fingers for you all!

  31. Im so sorry to hear about Georgia, I've seen her little pictures pop up on Instagram, me and the pug are honestly crossing our paws that it all turns out alright for all of you.

Also on a frivolous note, I really love the pink hair. When I first came across your blog your hair was pink and I assumed it was completely natural. I think its great that you manage to make your hair style look exactly the same even with all the colours so it actually looks just like you've dyed your hair rather than you're wearing a wig.

It would never occur to me to wear one but you make it look really natural. Very cool.
