Say Hello To Our Sponsors!

This month is a big one! Normally we don't have this many sponsors respond to the intro posting so I'm excited to introduce you to some new faces this time around! We also have several who have decided to sponsor for another month in a row or pick up from a few months ago! This month I asked each sponsor a special question! What superhero power they'd like to have and what their superhero name would be! I thought it'd be a fun way to show their personality so look for those! I also apologize for the formatting of the introductions. Blogger is pretty sensitive about copying and pasting any sort of words so they're impossible to make match! It's a pet peeve of mine and I've realized over the past few months how much I dislike this method of intros so it will probably be the last month I do them! Pay attention to the links at the end of each intro if you'd like to visit the sponsor!

The Pea Blossom

Hello all, my name is Ashley and I’m very glad to meet you, and you, and well you too! I’m the brains behind the blog Pea Blossom, where I spend tid bits of each day filling the interwebs with a little {peas} of me. I also create all sorts of stationery available through Etsy over at Pea Paperie. Feel free to stop on by, say hello, and maybe even leave with a few new ideas! If I had a super power... Instead of thinking about all the things I would do, let’s consider everything I won’t be doing as a super hero. I wouldn’t save the world, because I’m way too self-centered.  Don’t expect me to be helping get kittens out of trees, or promoting world peace or anything. Hey, you got yourself into this mess, figure it out. I wouldn’t have an ugly outfit, that’s for damn sure. I wouldn’t be caught dead doing anything noble, so just cross that off the list right then and there. For the most part, I’d be a fantastic villain. I mean I’m not gonna lie and say that I didn’t think Jafar was hot, so there you have it. I’m a villain. And my super power, terror. Who knew I had such a dark side. BLOG - TWITTER - ETSY

Elle.mnop
Hello! I'm Elle and I have a blog named Elle.mnop. I am a web designer by day and craftaholic by night. Working in the computer so much it is very important for me to still remain creative. I’m tired of looking online for inspiration so I have started this blog to force me to get out and do something. Sometimes that means exploring the town and sometimes it means making my own confetti. I call this committing to the crazy which means make whatever you want and get inspired by everything! I am also a type nerd so I combined some of my passions and create wreaths full of old books. So come visit Elle.mnop and I hope we can inspire each other. BLOG

Cameron+Whitney
I'm a 25 year old self-taught artist who somehow landed a job painting piggy banks.  A complex amalgamation of comic books, cartoons, and go-gurt all my life has produced a constant and growing flow of imaginative creativity in my noggin and I've recently decided to crack it open and share what's in there with the world.  Illustration, painting with acrylics, and papersculpt are my mediums of choice, but as a fairly "new artist," I'm learning something new everyday as I expand my horizons and take on new challenges.  My blog, cameron+whitney, is a way for me to document and share my art, my journey into legitimacy as an artist, my various adventures, things I like, and my love for my partner in crime, Whitney. If I had a super power... So for someone who has wasted his life with comic books, I feel that I am well qualified and overly prepared to answer this question with all sorts of cool super powers.  That being said however, Whitney has already developed a superhero alias for me, as the difficult and often times confusing Captain Chowderhead.  Powered by constant re-runs of cancelled shows and arguments about who is stronger such as the Green Ranger or Blacula, my abilities includes laziness, quoting movies and cartoons, talking in circles to frustrate Whitney, getting mad when I lose at Mario-Kart, never eating healthy, hot dog vision, making macaroni necklaces, referring to things I don't like as "totally not cowabunga", ordering Capri Sun at bars, and talking and eating loudly while Whitney tries to watch her stories that I don't care for. I started blogging and crafting to heal from a sad period in time and found that it really helped! Now my soul purpose in life is to fill the world with as much joy, love and cute stuff as I possibly can, because things that make us smile are SO good for us! My blog has regular features on things like music, art, crafts, thrifting and much more...all aiming to brighten your day and make you smile! Soon I will be launching "Tattoo Tuesday" were each week I will feature a different blogger and their awesome ink! If I had a super power...  Oh me oh my I am a HUGE superhero geek! I'm pretty much obsessed with dorky things like the x-men, and growing up I wanted to be Storm so I could control the weather! But now that I am older, married, pregnant and working full time I would have to say that I would like some sort of super speedy power like the mom on the show "No Ordinary Family". Just think of all the crafting I could get done! BLOG - ETSY - FACEBOOK

Local Color
Hi Honeybee readers! I'm Kirsten, a 19-year-old business student and owner of a little Etsy shop called Local Color. I sew and crochet phone/mp3 cozies, bags, plush animals and am currently working on a line of hats and mittens, so watch out for that! I keep a blog where I post about my life, shop and obsessions such as movies, nail art, organization and books. I hope to meet some of you guys through my blog or shop! If I had a super power... If I had a super-human power it would definitely be the ability to breathe underwater. I've always been fascinated with the sea and felt a burning jealousy when I saw people swimming with whales on TV. I'd love to stay under the surface and see everything. Forget watching Blue Planet, I want to see it firsthand! ETSY - BLOG - FACEBOOK

CAPow!
CAPow! Art & Design started almost three years ago as an Etsy shop that sold handmade wallets. Soon, sewing wallets felt more like a chore than fun, and the shop soon switched it's focus to selling photography prints. There are close to 500 prints listrd in the shop, which can be overwhelming, but please look around and you may find a little treasure that would fit perfectly into your home! If I had a super power... If I could have any super power it would totally be time travel. I would love to be able to jump through time and see how people and the world change with the years. And I already go by my superhero name: CAPow! ;) ETSY - BLOG - TWITTER

Miss Violet Lace
Hi! My name is Krista, and my mom, Sandy and I run our exciting new business, Miss Violet Lace! Together we redesign and reconstruct realistic wigs in every color, style and cut using the highest quality fiber on the market, among other creative ventures, and couldn't be happier doing so! We have a passion for fashion and love to dream up new designs; providing others with the hair they've always wanted is all we could ever ask for! We both greatly enjoy being able to blend my love for photography and fashion, my mom's love for all things girly, romantic and sweet, and our combined creativity into one business! We hope you'll follow us on our journey, and start your own hair adventure with us! If I had a super power... If I could have any super power, it would be the ability to fly, because I have always wanted to soar above the clouds, to feel completely free without a care in the world, even if just for a moment. My superhero name would be Flightless Freebird, because it sounds like a rock band! SHOP - BLOG - TWITTER

Kat Cameron
Hi Little Chiefs, My name is Kat, I like to draw and adventure, and sometimes I draw my adventures, or at least what I am wearing on my adventures. I have a little print shop and document my illustration processes, travels and inspirations on my blog.  At the moment I call Barcelona, Spain my home, but I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and often journey back home. My travels certainly are the inspiration for my artwork and  I would love to illustrate my own book. If I could I would live on a tropical island surrounded by marmalade cats, sipping on sunshine and dipping my toes into coral reef filled waters. I will be getting married to my best friend in March on safari, I can't wait! I think if I could choose a super power I would choose to have incredible chemistry skills, then I could make pills for being lazy, learning new languages, being shy, cancer, pretty much anything! If I sold enough of my pills I could live in my dream tree house and draw all day! (when not creating a new pill for ebola ) My name: "The Witch Doctor." SHOP - BLOG - WEBSITE

  1. It was fun to read all the introductions, thanks Kaelah. You should move over to wordpress, no problems with copying and pasting there :)

  2. @ Kat: sadly moving to wordpress would mean: 1) i'd have to pay to edit my CSS. no thanks! 2) i'd lose my blogspot address. 3) everyone would have to update their bookmarks. 4) i'd probably lose a hefty amount of followers! i'll just stick it out but change how i do my sponsorships in the future! i've been tracking the click throughs for a while now and these aren't that lucrative to traffic to my sponsors anyhow! pretty buttons on the side actually get way more traffic! haha

  3. so fun to read about and meet the other sponsors! What a creative bunch.

And yes, moving a blog is stressful. I just moved from Weebly to Blogger and am still nervous about the followers I may have lost.

  8. Hey Kaelah, if you copy and paste everything into a Notepad document first, then copy and paste it from said document, it strips all the formatting!

  11. @ kaelah,

i wonder if you split up the intros over the month, it would work better? like 2 or 3 per post. it's interesting to read, but all of it at once is quite a bit. although does mean i come back more often to continue :)

  12. @Blake: awesome! thanks for the tip! i'll definitely try it!

@Kat: that's not a bad idea! i might try that next month and if it still sucks then i'll just make my decision then but i think breaking it down would at least be better than 2 hours of formatting for it to look like that! haha
