Alright... here it is... Wedding Wednesday! I wanted to share another reader wedding with you today but then I started geeking out on table designs and such as Mike and I were talking earlier today about our dream wedding cake (or cakes!) provided the day comes for us! We were watching Ultimate Cake Off today and I get nerdy over shows like that! (If you follow me on
twitter you'll know my sadness when found out one of the contestants on there had the same bakery name as the one I branded in college! She didn't have it just 6 months ago! Ah well... what can ya do?!) Anyway! I stumbled across some
amazing table designs and I just had to share them! I dream about things like this! How silly is that?! The glassware, the cake stands, even the table itself! I should
really think about getting into event styling! I'd be in HEAVEN! Some of the following tablescapes are event related and not necessarily wedding, but I think they're inspiring nonetheless! Hopefully you will, too! (all images via

And the Weekly Wedding Question: What is your dream tablescape? (Or what did you have at your own wedding?!)
My opinion: I'd love multiple cakes. Different flavors and designs and sizes for the table on different vintage/acquired cake stands. Of course we'd have a "wedding cake" but it'd be small. This way everyone gets something special. Vegan, chocolate, buttercream, fondant... you name it! Something whimsical and shabby chic for sure!
I want to have a party with one of these bitchin' treat tables!! so amazing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that Wayne Thiebeaud cake table! Definitely planning on stealing that idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Kaelah! I remember when my aunt got married (I was like 7 or 8 then) they had a small wedding cake for themselves but then had a table full of delicious cakes for everyone to enjoy. It's one of the most memorable weddings I have ever been too!
ReplyDeleteI'd like multiple desserts including a variety of cakes. And I've always imagined a whimsical, backyard, summer celebration. Lots of lights, dancing in the grass, and farmhouse dinner table style seating.
Everything looks great & yummy!
ReplyDeleteYES!!! LOVE this post! I will be having a desert reception as well with a small fancy cake for Stephen and I. My mom and I will be building tables with cute jars with candy, another table with nuts and trail mix and a smore's table. :)
ReplyDeleteoooh I'm speechless! I love all of them, except for the red and white theme. I prefer subtle colors.
ReplyDeleteI adore reading your Wedding Wednesday posts! You always inspire my future wedding with fantastic ideas, gotta love the "DIY cupcake topper" idea.

They're all so beautiful! I'm definitely having an outdoor wedding so something very outdoorsy. I have a bunch of ideas, but nothing too concrete yet!
ReplyDeleteI love the cute table with the chalkboard frame on it...adorable!
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I'm in love with the Wayne Thiebaud cakes... and the coke bottle vases. :)
ReplyDeleteAs someone who is headlong in the middle of planning my own wedding these are so inspirational. :) I am thinking for myself lots of vintage cake trays and plates with cupcakes of various flavors, and candies and such. :) Lot's of shabby chic style, but with fall colors.
ReplyDeletei want a huge dessert table with all kinds of desserts including macarons and a candy bar plus a big wedding cake and the colors would be black and white with lime green and bright purple accents elegant with a pop of colors!
ReplyDeleteOh these are all just GORGEOUS! Truly inspiring. Great post.
