Taking Chances...

I haven't posted something like this in a hot minute, so without further adieu, I give you a few words to get you through your week...

I think we all sometimes cower in fear of actual success. We run from opportunities, even when we swear we don't. Sometimes it's much easier to say "what if" than to just accept than we may actually succeed. I'm gulity, and I bet you are, too. Let's change that. Let's reinvent the way we look at not only opportunity, but ourselves.

What is the biggest risk you've ever taken? How did it work out for you? Did you learn anything?

xoxo

  1. I love all those quotes, I can't think of the biggest risk I've ever taken. But recently, I told the guy I like that I like him - his response was "I need to think about some things.." So we'll see!

  2. i love these quotes! fantastic and inspiring. i agree that i'm sometimes guilty of running. a risk i'm currently taking is trying harder to make a living doing something i love. i'm not meant for typical 9-5 jobs. i'm going for it. it's scary but sometimes the best things are.

  5. In all honesty I think I’m a bit of a wimp lol. I guess going to the Twitter Conference back in November was a bit of a step out of my comfort zone because anyone who I was going to meet I had been chatting to over Twitter rather than in person or anything like that. Then I did the same a few weeks ago at the Geek Girl Day in London – again anyone who I had talked to previously, I had only met via Twitter or the Group site. Again everyone was lovely lol.

I guess at church praying for strangers or people who I don’t necessarily talk to is a bit of a risk. I always get a little worried that they’d turn round and be like “You are not holy enough to pray for me and you’re using all the wrong words! Go away!” (Yeah Okay so in the Hannah-brain that comes out a whole bunch more scary lol).

So I am wimp and I need toughing up – any suggestions?
