Tiered Lemon + Sage

Fall in Line by Lisa Mitchell on Grooveshark

Today's post was supposed to be my October Sub-Box Recap but to be honest, I'm feeling a little bit over the whole thing. I canceled my GlossyBox last month after getting fed up with spending $20/mo on stuff I typically didn't like, and I just can't really get past the MyGlam/Ipsy owner's reputation. BirchBox is the one I've liked the most overall and I'll still get it for a while considering I prepaid a full year up front. I have the post already written and formatted, so I may still post it later this week if I'm running behind, but I think I'll just be sticking with StitchFix + BirchBox for a while. (Speaking of SF, I stopped getting them for a couple of months so I could deal with wedding stuff, and I'm excited to get one in the mail again later this week!)

I've been holding onto this dress for a while now. Not sure why it took me so long to photograph it. Probably lines up with the ~5 weeks or so I didn't do any outfit posts thanks to living in pajamas + my hair staying up in a bun during the wedding hype. It feels nice to be able to put some effort into my appearance now. When I first got this dress from Eshakti I wanted to order it in every single color! It's that comfortable. It's a flattering fit and I loved the tiered colored skirt. The sage cardigan just went so perfectly with it (in my opinion). I opted to wear my Blowfish Gavinas to tie it all together. (Apologies for not looking at the camera at all in these. I had a bad case of allergies and the sun was reflecting behind Mike and I kept sneezing or making *the worst* faces ever haha)

Today I'll be organizing my workspace a bit (at least trying to) and getting started on some design work. I had a client reschedule last minute so I have a single opening for this week if interested! Shoot me an email (kaelahbee@gmail.com) and we'll chat!

Hope all of you on the East/NE coast are staying safe! Actually, I doubt you're reading blogs right now so...

  7. You look very lovely in this dress- I can see why you were so excited about it.

Too bad some of the boxes didn't work out.

  8. Did TN get hit with 25+mph winds as bad as Georgia has these past 4 days?! I can barely walk outside! I mean I'm not complaining by any means I'm just saying WOW it is that strong! I can't imagine NY at the moment.. omg.

You look BEAUTIFUL. I seriously love Eshakti, if only I could afford their dresses :( I'd buy so many.

    lyndsey of hellolyndsey

    1. Yeah it's been supppperrrr windy here. Not so fun!

  9. Aw YEAH Lisa Mitchell!!
It makes me sad that she's so unknown in North America, her music is so beautiful and she is just such a cutie.

...And now I want summer. Curse you, hurricane!! Ugh.

    1. Coin Laundry will forever be my favorite song from her. It was my anthem in NYC during summer 2010!

  10. Yellow is my current favourite colour, this dress is mega cute.

I never got into the whole subscription box thing, I'd rather save the money and go search a store and spend the money on something i see there

  11. So gorgeous!

    my favorite cut!

  13. This dress looks so good on you. I need it in every colour! <3

  14. ps. whats the name of this dress? Cant find it on the website and I'd love to have one of my own! :)

    1. I don't remember the name of it but it's not online anymore (I tried linking to it directly). The Fifties Sundress is similar, just with a pleated skirt, and it's solid in color. I got the dress a couple of months ago! I guess they rotate inventory pretty quickly?

  15. I loved this outfit before I even opened this on Bloglovin. That dress pairs so well with the cardigan and it is SO cute. I might order one for myself.

  16. This is one of my favorite outfits that I have seen! LOVE the yellow with the darker sweater :-)

  17. Aww, you look great. Fantastic colour combo. Sorry to hear about your allergies...hopefully with winter coming they'll be going away!

  19. I hate birchbox. Everything I've gotten from there was just blah!!

Try beautybox5 (google it) I think it's .com though.

It's like $12 a month and you get huge trial sizes and full size products too!! Have just about loved every month I've gotten (over 6 months now)

  20. Loving your hair. Is it longer or more brown? hmm.

  21. You are soooo chic & cute in this eShakti dress....they really have an awesome collection & the customization is the best. I recently also did a product feature on one their dresses....check this link to that post http://redtagchiclosangeles.com/2012/10/29/red-hot/

HEY! Thanks for dropping by. xo KB
