Just a quick sampling of a dreamy Autumn outfit. Perfect for crunching leaves and perusing the pumpkin patch. Autumn camouflage if you will. Meanwhile I'm spending part of today figuring out how to take my overly-Summer wardrobe into the cooler, crisper temperatures. Not even black tights can save some of these floral frocks. Might have to retire them for the season. What's your dream outfit for Autumn?

i suffer the EXACT SAME wardrobe conundrum. not that there's ever really *too many* florals, just.. not the *right kind* of florals. and i'm all about florals. what was i wearing 6 months ago?... no idea.

Ooo! I love how you transitioned the summery dress for fall! I need to try that more often. My fall uniform is skinny jeans, a cozy sweater, knee high boots and boot cuffs. If it is particularly chilly I pair it with a pea coat or leather jacket depending on my mood.
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way about my wardrobe, I swear half of it is florals. I've seen some people rocking some amazing summer dresses already this Autumn so I am determined to get at least a little bit more wear out of mine. Summer dresses are just made for layering at this time of year. I love that yellow dress and the cosy looking cardigan, so pretty xo
ReplyDeleteTry dark brown tights and a brown cardigan to fall-ify your summer dresses? Sometimes that reads more "fall" than simple black tights?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll come up with some cute outfits as the days get cooler.
brown is such a great suggestion! i don't know how i don't own any brown tights... they're the perfect dark neutral without being too striking!
Deletethat little yellow dress would be adorable on you! i love chunky knits too - i wanna be in some fall kind of thing now.

That's so cute! I'd rather be wearing warmer clothes too. The weather in Phoenix is not fall-friendly.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is perfect! I love the cardigan :)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this outfit.

What a sweet outfit - the dress is my favourite part!

Try putting a sweater, or some kind of fall top, over top of the dress so it looks like a skirt?

i don't own any sweaters! weird right? i find that they make me look very bulky/boxy because my torso is short but my hips are wiiiiiiiide. they swallow any definition of waist that i might have haha
DeleteWas it hot today in TN? It was hot in Indiana. But this weekend is supposed to be super cold, so then I finally get to wear a sweater! :)

don't judge me, but the only time i went outdoors today was to check the mail, and i didn't even notice the weather. EMBARRASSING. it's only 5:45pm so i'm going to try and rectify that now by taking Toby to the playground :P
DeleteI love the red tights! Such a perfect fall color :)

I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing today! But not only do I need to remove the florals to make room for warmer wear - I also have to make extra room for maternity wear! First world problem? I think so.

heh! A very good problem to have though, no? ;)
DeleteI love that dress <3 I often have the opposite issue, I adore autumn, and snuggly clothes, so I struggle to transition to spring/summer! I live for the crisp autumnal days :)

That´s a lovely outfit. I like it!
ReplyDeleteDo u always buy ur dresses online?
xoxo
I don't buy many new dresses these days, but I'm not picky about where they're from! :)
DeleteI love how you complain about having too many floral dresses, and yet the dress in your ideal summer outfit has a floral print. Lol! It's all about having the right florals. ;D
