// Reproductive rights are personal rights. Fight the war on women with this new campaign.

// Loving the Garage clothing boutique and coveting the mint denim jacket! (The perfect mix of girly + edgy)

// Kelsea is doing a really really amazing thing by using 100% of the proceeds from her Etsy shop to help fund her Help A Heart mission (funds actually benefitting the American Heart Association). Kelsea shares her story (well, her brother's) and explains how he and his condition are the inspiration for such a sweet gesture. Please take a chance to check it out and contribute if possible! Even if just by spreading the word.

// Wishlist Wears: Flamingo Dress! (to go with the other 3 I already own... I think Flamingo printed items are becoming "a thing" for me...) -- A cat dress (!!!) with lace trim! -- Bird print dress (So many animals! I know!) -- I wish I had this festive dress for Mexico! -- Tassled "smoking" slippers! (These are so rad!) -- Bulldog sweater... eeeek! -- Cream "Wave" clutch -- The most beautiful cognac shoes ever -- Tory Burch Fox iPhone case! -- Two words: BALLIN' shoes! -- and finally, this studded Owl tote! (I should've just done an entirely "animal" themed wishlist! :P)

// Amber shared a short post about her hesitations with online dating. I feel like it's a post that so many gals (and guys) can relate to in some way. (Real talk: Any of you tried online dating before? How'd it go? I may have to write about that one...)

// If the Sweet Tooth cross-stitch didn't do it for you, what about Donuts? or Ice Cream? and finally, for people who prefer to avoid the sugar coma... Veggies! (soo cute!)

// TSA-holes... man alive!

// And one last Jezebel gem... In studies that makes perfect sense, men's views on abortion change with personal circumstances. Some of the comments, y'all...

// A 14 year old teen educational rights activist was gunned down by Pakistani Taliban. This girl was so so brave. It's unreal what such a large part of the world lives with daily. And now I feel incredibly embarrassed to share a "wishlist" each week ya know?

// We're going here today... and I'm about thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much excited!

What are you loving this week?

  7. Can we please talk about the awful (yet sometimes seemingly necessary) world of online dating? I feel like the majority of us has used the internet in some kind of way to date. Now I want to write about this!

  8. I actually met my boyfriend on Match.com. I had just gotten out of a really long and drawn-out relationship. I just wanted to get out and meet people. I thought, "if nothing else, it'll make some good stories," so I signed up for Match.com on a whim (it was almost like I was drunk... except I wasn't). His tagline was "When pizza's on a bagel, you can have pizza anytime!" I knew then and there that we were soul mates.

    Congrats on your recent nuptials!

  9. I've tried online dating. It definitely has its ups and downs, but overall it's so worth the shot. I've met some great friends that way, and that's how I met my boyfriend :)

  10. Great links!

Re: Online Dating: I actually sort of met my boyfriend on OkCupid. He was a regular at the coffee shop I used to work at, then he moved and stopped coming by. But he found me on OKC, sent me a message, and now it's been 6 months! If it weren't for the ease of messaging me, I doubt he would have approached me. He's very shy and awkward, and I mean that in the most loving way haha. I've never been happier with anyone!

  13. I met my boyfriend on HotorNot.com (I KNOW...the worst), moved across the country from Washington state to Georgia, and we've been together for a blissful 5 years so far. Best decision I've ever made! :)

  14. So glad to hear that you two are having so much fun in Mexico! I love this round-up of awesome things this Thursday. :)

I heard about Malala the other day and she is such an inspiration. Her efforts to bring education to women in the face of danger is awesome and uplifting. It's a miracle that she is still alive and it's amazing that she still wants to fight.

  16. Oh man, all those animal print items are DANGEROUS for me to see. I am obsessed with buying things with cats on them!

My experiences with online dating have been... mixed. I met some SUPER CREEPS (luckily, I never went out in person with any of them, but that did not stop them from harassing me online constantly), some dudes who were nice but not my type, and some really amazing dudes. I know other people who have gone out on hundreds of okcupid dates with no results, but I also know someone who just got married to and is moving to Finland with a guy she met on there.

  17. After three years of not dating at all due to living in SUCH a small town (SO hard to meet people. I still struggle with this friend-wise), I decided to try online dating (OkCupid, because it was free). My current boyfriend was the very first person I interacted with for the online dating, and now we're are discussing getting married after a year of dating!

After hearing my success, several other friends have tried it with less luck. One friend let both my boyfriend and I tweek her profile even. Its interesting to me that it seemed like women's profiles all talked about themselves- what they liked, their careers and favorite movies etc. Getting-to-know-you type of information. The men's profiles often focussed on what they wanted out of a relationship and/or the kind of woman they hoped to meet. Not always in either case, but it seemed interesting.

  18. Actually......Zach & I met online :) I was terrified....but I wasn't meeting anyone worth anything in real life & my past room mate met her wonderful husband online. Then I saw that a lot of my friends were on that dating site (I kept getting matched with them!)

It was fun & terrifying...kinda like IRL dating but Zach & I were ready to meet someone to be with and not just date. So all those questions were worth it. We did a lot of back & forth email style before we even chatted IM style because we wanted to be sure we each had the same views etc. Weirdest most awesome experience of my life.

  19. Ugh, I have had 100% the worst time with online dating. I have to admit, that all it's really done is make me realise how much I'm not into so many of the things other people are. It's an introvert-unfriendly place, and in my experience, full of buttholes. Wah! I had very high hopes for it when I started, but oh jeez.

  21. I did some online dating...it's how I met my boyfriend! At a certain point a couple years ago I knew I wanted to date someone and it seemed so passive and not my style to not do anything about it, so I signed up for OkCupid. It was definitely off-putting sometimes and I deleted/remade accounts like 4 times, but in the end I got lucky so I recommend it to people who are curious. Anyway, glad you're having fun!
