In 2012...

In 2012 I hope you find the strength to let go of those people and things that are keeping you down. Let go of lost loves, bad habits, and negativity. Shine a little brighter, walk with your head higher, and smile at everyone you meet. Shake hands with a firm grip, indulge in chocolate when you crave it, and try to incorporate a little bit of glitter into every outfit. Spend a little too much on your favorite lipgloss, and pinch pennies otherwise. Make it a rule to say "I love you" to at least one person every single day, even if it's to yourself (You deserve it!). Write a list of your hopes and dreams, and sleep with them under your pillow each night. Thank those who inspire you, and aim to inspire others. Wear your fanciest dress to do the laundry, and don't forget to say "Please" and "Thank you". Be a woman of morals, grace, and gratitude. Promise yourself that you will give 2012 your absolute best and don't settle for anything less from others. This is your year. This is the year you were born to shine. It's going to be the best one yet! Can you tell I'm excited?!

  2. This is being printed out and stuck on my wall, pronto. It's so poignant and true, and I really hope I can live up to it. I think your part about letting go of lost loves has really given me a much-needed kick up the backside to do so. Thank you. :) ♥

  14. printing this off and putting it on the wall is such a great idea!
2011 started out as a great year for me, and by the end of it, I'd crashed my car, the man I loved had broken up with me and just before Christmas my Grandad died.
I really hope in 2012 to take your advice and let go of lost loves (I was crying over him again this morning!) and try to move on with my life. This IS my year. The year I graduate from University and try to make a new life for myself.
Thank you for always being inspiring, Kaelah.

And I especially love the 2nd photo... Being too afraid to try is something that I fall victim to more often than I would like to admit... Here's to being fearless in 2012!

Thank you so much for sharing.
    Happy New Year, Kaelah!

  28. I really, really love this. One of my main goals this year is to spread positivity and not feed in to negativity. Even things as simple as having a smile for everyone I see ... it makes a difference. I have high hopes for 2012 too. Best wishes!
