Mintsicle Pastel Pop

Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging. And that's okay! That's okay, I have to remind myself constantly. Between being sick, missing work, pulling muscles and making plans, I've lost my blogging mojo a little bit! Mike's work schedule was crazy this weekend and I spent the whole time cuddled up on the couch with a bottle of Robitussin and some Kleenex. I'm happy to report that it's passing though! I've only got a slight remaining cough (thank goodness!). Thanks for all of your sweet words this weekend! You're the best!

This outfit is what I wore yesterday when I went to the store real quick. Bad call on my part. You know those embarrassing coughing fits you get into in public sometimes? The ones where people stare at you, half in sympathy and half in that "the devil is going to jump out of your lungs!" way? Yeah, that happened to me yesterday. Awful. I didn't have a bottle of water or any hard candy with me. My eyes were tearing up from trying to hold it in haha! I reverted back to 7 year old me when my Nana always carried hard candies in her purse for that reason! Smart woman.

No color palette for this outfit because my CS5 trial expired so I'm trying to get that squared away. Not having PhotoShop/Illustrator is hard for a graphic designer. Also, you're getting a bajillion photos because I'm just learning Aperature and junk.

Today Mike and I taking the girls down to my parents house for a few hours. Just to chit chat, relax, and maybe get in the pool if I feel up to it. Nothing fancy but I wanted to share some love with the blog! xo

Ross no-name dress
Target cardigan
Rampage flats
Urban Expressions bag
DIY floral crown

PS; I still have a few large/medium sponsorships available for June! Email me at kaelahbee@gmail.com and I'll get back to you all tomorrow!

PPS; Peep the two different shoes in the first picture! Yeah, I walked out of the house like that and Mike couldn't resist himself.

  1. I LOVE this yellow dress, it's gorgeous on you, and I love these photos, really digging the brick background. I need to tell myself that it's okay when life gets in the way of blogging - I feel so guilty! Glad you're getting over your awful cough!

  5. I L.O.V.E this outfit. I've been a long time reader to this blog, but I'm not sure that I've ever actually commented before, so I just wanted to say that I really really really adore your blog! You are such an inspiration. Whenever I read your blog, I'm am almost instantly inspired to go out and try something new, or reorganize my closet. But most of all, you inspire me to be myself, and love myself for who I am. Your self confidence is extremely contagious, and I am very thankful for your blog. :)

  7. This outfit is awesome!! I saw the sneak peak on twitter yesterday and I think I tweeted something along the lines of "i want to eat it" which is weird because I'm a lunatic haha. But it kind of makes sense because it reminds me of cotton candy or something. I LOVE the dress with the turquoise cardigan. Such a great combination. Happy you're feeling better! =)

  9. I'm glad I'm not the only one who walks out the door with mismatched shoes... or, with no shoes at all! I've been around the corner driving before and realized that the gas/brake pedals hurt my bare feet. duh!

  18. All your dresses are so amazing. Short full skirt and natural waist are my favorite and most flattering silhouette and I always have such a hard time finding anything.

  19. lovely outfit. it is super sweet, and the colors are so great together. and, i know what you mean about coughing - i always feel so horrible when i get a coughing fit - mainly because i do not want to bother those around me! actually, in college i had whooping cough for a month before it was diagnosed, and i would literally have to walk out of the classroom to cough when i had a fit, bcos no one could hear the professor.

  21. Such a pretty mix of colors in this outfit. The yellow dress is beautiful with the teal cardigan. Sometimes I find really cute dresses like that at Ross too. Reminds me that I need to check out that store again sometime. Last thing I got there was a really versatile black dress. Anyway, very cute look today!

  23. You look lovely as always :)

When I wanted to get Photoshop I scanned my husband's school ID and got the educational version (he uses it too so it's not just me!). It was about $400 cheaper and everything works great. Good luck!

  27. eeek..so i'm guessing the pulled muscle(s) is from hot yoga? :( i go to the downtown Y, and i've pulled both my arm muscles (bicep area) and they have been killing me for weeks...so i've gotten into running and taking really strong ibprofen until they heal (i went to a shitty doc in brentwood and that's what he told me to do, and it isn't working ugh). anyways, i hope you feel better! you should come to the Y! they have yoga too! i do it when my arms aren't hurting...
