I've never really been a jewelry person. I blame my tom-boy roots and my abundant tattoos [I mean, they kind of stick out on their own! No need to tacky it up!]. I steer clear of necklaces because I feel like they don't play we ll with my chest piece, and I
loathe bracelets, and I can't wear "regular" earrings.. sheesh! I do love rings though. Sort of. Sometimes. Whatever... The point is: I don't wear jewelry.
But... I have been fawning over the most amazing raw amethyst cluster jewelry on Etsy lately! There is something undeniably beautiful, yet edgy, about all of that rough stone and the whimsical purple. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way because I've seen gorgeous photos floating around the blogosphere as of late. Maybe I'm subject to peer influence, but whatever the cause, I
like it and I want some! Here are a few favorites I found while perusing Etsy!
These would undoubtedly make a lovely gift for any lady in your life! [*

What is your thought on the edgy gem jewelry? Too much? Just right?

ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! Amethyst is my birth stone.
ReplyDeleteThey kind of look like rock candy. mmm
I feel the exact same way, I hate jewelry and never wear anything but plain white plugs and my engagement ring. BUT I have been trying to find the perfect hunks of amethyst geodes (stalagtite/stalagmites?) to make my own plugs for months!! the only pre-made ones I've found are like $200 and the website like...doesn't work anymore:/
ReplyDeletei've also been on a mission to knock off this crazy crystal lamp from anthro but with amethyst instead of quartz....I think I might have an amethyst problem.
i have the same issue when it comes to jewelry and i'm not even fully tattooed yet.
ReplyDeletei actually just took my guages out the other day and they'll never be normal again--dangly earrings or guage em again and now that i've seen THOSE, i'm thinking i might just guage em out again!! eeep!! those are so pretty!!
those are really beautiful. i think you could definitely wear necklaces, just the much longer ones as oppose to "chokers"

AH! I literally told my husband this week that I wanted a big raw chunk of amethyst for my desk. It's soooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have a large rock with Amethyst and would love to know how to get the stones out of it and how do I weigh it.
ReplyDeleteWHERE IS THE SEVENTH ONE DOWN AVAILABLE? IT IS THE RAW CHUNK WITH THE CHAIN GOING THROUGH IT?
ReplyDeleteI really covet the 7th one down. The raw chunk with the chain through it. I also like the ring. Where are they available? Price?
