Not going to lie, this was kind of an out there outfit to be poking around town in. Mike and I stopped into GiGi's Cupcakes on Broadway after shooting these photos out on the Natchez Trace and I think the poor cashier's chin about hit the floor. Yea, I'd probably do a double take, too. While I totally love my Jeffrey Campbell Pink Ponyhair Litas, but they're about a smiddddgeee too small. They're a half size smaller than all of my other pairs and my toes definitely feel it! Oh well, that's online shopping for ya!
I decided to pull out an old favorite, this Urban Outfitters dress, and pair it with a lace motorcycle jacket, big belt, and bright tights. Gotta do something a little crazy to stand out from these awesome Autumn colors! The Natchez Trace has some of the most breathtaking scenery in early November. I'd love to get married this time of year but goodness gracious it's so cold every other day! The weather is so so fickle!
I'm getting ready to drive down to Franklin and take my 5 hour ABC class this morning so I can re-up my license (for bartending). Mine has been expired since early June (oops!) and I'm just now getting around to reinstating it. (And to be honest I'm only doing it because the ABC guy came by and saw it was expired... and I'm not allowed to work until I have a new one). Luckily they offer classes around Nashville every day of the week so I get to drive down, watch a bunch of videos, take a silly little test, and pay entirely too much money to keep doing what I'm doing for another 5 years (Heaven help me!). Gotta pay them bills! xo
Here's to hoping you have an awesome start to your weekend!

You look great! I love those burgundy tights with the pink shoes! :) -Lo
ReplyDeleteLOVE the foliage... You make your Tennessee look delightful. Vermont is pretty spectacular this time of year too... though we are about done with colorful leaves, onto the stark winter sky.
ReplyDeletecute outfit doll!

I think it is a great outfit!! It is colorful, and very nicely put together. And, of course, you DO stick out from the gorgeous yellow trees in the background. Those are so pretty! I'm sad that almost all the leaves are gone now. :( Also, I wore a pair of tights yesterday that were the same color as those! I had an interview session and felt like sticking out. It was POURING rain, though, so I had to lug my non-matching umbrella around downtown. What made me happy is when someone on the street stopped and complimented me. Good day.
ReplyDeleteNow go out and strut (as much as you can, anyway) in those lovely shoes of yours. :)
Gorgeous as always! And good luck on the test.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'd classify this as out-there...but I suppose you're not wearing a plaid shirt and cowboy boots, so you might stand out :)
ReplyDeleteI really really freaking love that dress. The print is so pretty! I have to say, Tennessee trees are very pretty in the Fall. I especially love the area where you did the pictures...absolutely gorgeous.
Lovely outfit and wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeletekisses from your follower! ♡

The colors in these photos are to die for! Do you or any of your readers have tips for getting your dresses and tights to get a long? Some of my dresses tend to stick the the tights then ride up.

ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your wonderful natural ability to mix colors together so effortlessly! I really love this look, if only I wasn't so tall, maybe then I could buy a pair of Lita's too. Eek, I would be 6'3 in them haha.
ReplyDeleteI am also a bit jealous that you can get your boyfriend to take pictures for you, does he do it on his own? Perhaps I just have a lazy boyfriend...
Keep up the lovely outfits miss,

I love the print of this dress, I say that in almost every comment I leave to your posts but it is still true.
ReplyDeleteThe trees look so lovely, I too want to get married in the Fall. I love the way the trees look but it is some fickle weather.
Good luck with your ABC license.
Oh no! Aren't you allowed to return the shoes?! Or did you just not want to give them up? :p I do that ALL the time. It's quite awful actually haha.
ReplyDeleteDamn, now you made me go a bit paranoid about when my RSA expires... Anyway, what I really wanted to compliment is the amazingly beautiful color of your hair against those fairytale yellow leaves!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty (both the scenery and you!) I love the colour of the tights with the pink of the shoes - so girly and lovely.

haha I like that you said this was an out there outfit for public. I always feel bad compared to some bloggers bc I know if I wore some outfits in my town people would stare and it'd be annoying. The Natchez Trace is beautiful!
