My "I do." pinboard on Pinterest has been getting a lot of loving recently. We're down to the wire to nail down a date for our Autumn 2012 wedding and I am so excited! 95% of me doesn't want to wait until next year (I mean, we've been engaged for almost 7 months now!), but the remaining 5% knows that it's the only way to be able to DIY and dream up our perfect day. We're hammering down a bunch of details though and we'll be paying attention to October's weather because so far October is looking a lot nicer in terms of Mother Nature than September! I'm ready to be Mrs. Flynn! Here are lots of pretty things I've recently pinned! xo
chiffon + the perfect pink
the perfect mix of southern + sweet
program + fan
these darling engagement announcements (+ she asked him!)
this lovely seating chart
the perfect floral arrangements
oh so simple wedding rings
Looks like it's time to get out my wedding sketchbook again! I wish all of you could come help me with the DIYs! ;) Wouldn't that be so fun?!
I truly adore the pastels and simple palettes; they are beautiful. I'm so happy to see more outdoor wedding pictures! I would love mine to be during the fall; the weather is so much more admirable then sweaty, smoldering July or August. :) I enjoyed this collage; I know the "rustic beauty" is trending now, but I think the DIY style is ALWAYS something that should be done at weddings! It keeps the cost down and makes things truly personalized and magical! I hope you're able to wait until the big day. :)
ReplyDeleteoh the fun you'll have planning and making cute things. i have plenty of happy memories from our wedding and i'm nowhere near as creative as you.
ReplyDeleteand if you want my advice it would be to have tonnes&tonnes of pictures taken (professional, friends, guests whatever you fancy). the day will go by so quickly that photos are great for memories.
I LOVE that heart wedding band! any idea where I could get one of those?!
ReplyDeleteooo how pretty! I'm trying to get my boyfriend to propose so that I can start planning! we plan on getting married, but he's not ready to make it official yet. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOoo, you'll be a Flynn! I'll be going from a Flynn to a Lewin. Well, I'll be keeping the Flynn in there somewhere as well. =]
oooo i love these! I really love the program. I might have to do something cute like that when I get married! Have fun planning :) And October is definitely better than September weather wise. Sept is so unpredictable. I've been to some great November weddings too though...I guess it partially depends on the year.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. These are all so gorgeous! I love that first picture, so sweet. ^_^ I love the simple wedding rings as well, simple and sweet and oh so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis is all lovely, and it's especially good to read one of your Wedding Wednesday posts seeing as I'm getting married too! I got engaged a couple of weeks ago, and like you, we didn't want to wait either! We wanted to get married on our anniversary which is in December so it was either get married this year, or wait until next. We've already been together for over 7 years so we decided to go for this year! Going to be so busy though :) Can't wait to read all about your wedding plans, I bet your wedding will be very beautiful! :D
ReplyDeleteI love October weddings but I'm a little partial because I was an October bride. It sucks to wait but it's so worth it when everything turns out so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou have some amazing finds here. I'm really loving the fingerprint announcement and the program doubled as a fan, very cute! Can't wait to hear more about your plans. :) :) Sea Marie
ReplyDeleteThe thumb prints invite is adorable... I've never seen anything that strange and cool for a wedding invitation!
ReplyDeleteAhh I'm excited for you :-)

I love wedding posts. :) The fella and I just became engaged (on Sunday) and we're planning a fall 2012 wedding too. We're aiming for late September. We plan on doing just about everything DIY and I couldn't be more excited. Yay weddings! :)

I love all of those rings!! Even for an engagement ring I'd love something small and delicate like that. No big rocks for me! :)

These are all such lovely details, you have such great taste! I love the first photo with the bridesmaid dresses, that really is a perfect shade of pink, and I love chiffon. So floaty and dreamy!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you- I can't wait to see your dream day, it's going to be such a fairy tale.

Woohoo! Shoot, I didn't know you were engaged (a belated congrats) :) Marriage is the best.
ReplyDeleteMy fiance and I just chose our wedding date of October 6th 2012, with the same reasoning that September will be way to rainy that and we are having ours at our house that we are building in an apple orchard on top of a mountain, and the apples will still be perfect in October!

ReplyDeleteaww the thumb print heart is to cute!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, the fingerprints! so unique and thoughtful :) i can't wait to get married haha! i'm not even engaged so....
ReplyDeletei have been fascinated with diy weddings lately...which is hilarious since i dont want to get married.
ReplyDeletethat pale pink is darling!
ReplyDeletelove the fan programs! almost did those for my outdoor spring wedding.
and aw, she asked him. too sweet.
I just love your style! I think your wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful, Kaelah!
ReplyDeleteThat "loved" ring was my second choice for a wedding band. I really loved it ;], but I ended up getting a simple and lovely mobius ring from Etsy. And the love knot ring? I have that, but it's two of them welded together. My mom got in in Mexico like 20 years ago and gave it to me. I've worn it every day for 6 or 7 years and it's my favorite piece of jewelry other than my wedding rings!
Are you going to be able to wear a band with your e-ring? Or move it to your right hand? It's hard to tell from the pictures if it sits up high enough to allow wearing another ring without a big gap.
End ramble. <3
@marissa breanna: that's so awesome! my ring definitely allows for another band to sit with it (it's nice because the diamond on my engagement ring kind of sits on both of them, if i wear one), but i've seen so many gold bands that i like, too. i'll probably still get silver and wear them together, but time will tell! :D
ReplyDeletemy wedding band cost $30. We don't have matching ones or anything either since his was his great-grandmother's band (it looks manly though). I really like these that are listed.
ReplyDeleteSo many great finds here! So excited to see your day, I imagine it'll be pretty insane in its awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteAw! I love that seating chart! And those rings are lovely! I definitely want a unique engagement and wedding ring, but I also want it to be fairly traditional too. Basically, I have no idea what I want, so it's a good thing I'll have lots of time to think about it! :D
ReplyDeleteIt would be AMAZING if all of us could come DIY with you!! <3
ReplyDeleteAn engagement ring has a special place in every couple's life and these Engagement Rings are feeling me so.
