Let me first apologize to any librarian I may offend with the title of this post. Something about a nice tan and navy (with a nice burst of maroon and some cute specs) makes me think of a librarian. But the adorable kind, not the stereotypical kind. Though I may be making a stereotypical depiction as well.. whatever. The important part is that you know it's a good thing. It's something I really like at least!
I've been wearing this exact outfit more than I care to admit. I'd wear it 2 hours one day, to the post office one day, and maybe to grab lunch the next day. I promise I do laundry and I promise I own other clothes. Christina probably thinks otherwise since she's already seen me wearing it on multiple occasions! Whoops! It's just really comfy. The temps cooled off for a bit and they've started rising back up so I'm balancing one pair of tights with a super light-weight sheer dress. Sheer is ~so in right now but I've never attempted to wear it. I think this is a nice balance for me. The burgundy tights are without a doubt going to be a huge staple in Autumn's wardrobe. I can't wait! We're hoping that a handful of days in Chicago will bring cooler temps, too! I've also been obsessed with any and everything gold lately! Gold bags, gold accessories, and most importantly: gold nail polish. Swoon! I'll share more on that next week though!
I snagged this bag via a PLNDR sale for dirt cheap and it's been getting a ton of wear. It's an Urban Expressions bag and I've only recently come to notice how many of those I own! If you're into really nice bags that are 100% vegan then check them out. I didn't know that was their selling point until after I had a few but I can vouch for the quality :) And the shoes are some Target favorites. I waited for them to go on clearance because I didn't have the heart to spend $30 on them (or whatever they were). $12 was much easier to digest! I'm still really loving my glasses though! I'll share my other new pair this week! Happy Monday, friends!

PS; Since I gave some love to PATB this morning, I felt it necessary to give a sweet shoutout to my #1, Loquat! This was the first song I ever heard by them and it still brings back a flood of memories.
I love the look. You look so cute in glasses. I love the background of your photo as well. XO, Rae Veda

You always look Absolutely lovely and today is no exception. I love the colours you put together, they really suit you. I always wear outfits for days in a row, either because I just bought something and I'm obsessed with it or because I have to wake up early and cant be bothered sorting through all my drawers to get something else :-P!

Very cute outfit, lady! Love it. And wear whatever you want, when you want...chances are everyone else is doing the same ;)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I love love love this outfit! The color combination is just so great for Autumn. I need to get my hands on some burgundy tights promptly :]
ReplyDeletehow cute! i especially love the shoes :)
ReplyDeleteThis song is officially going to be stuck in my head all day. :P
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! And, I have to say, that the sterotype may be there for a reason ... I'm about to head off to my library job and pretty much everyday I wear tights and a cardigan! It's just so practical - a knee-length skirt is so much better than pants when it comes to shelving books or ducking under desks to fix computers. Anyway, I tip my glasses to you! <3
ReplyDeleteThose maroon tights are AMAZING! I keep going back and forth with my feeling about fall, but those tights make me wish it was here right now.
ReplyDeleteAnd no shame about wearing the same outfit multiple times a week, we all do it! Why fix something if it ain't broken!

The colors in this outfit remind me of old books. I love it! The Autumn tights are a great color. I bought some in Mustard and I can't wait to wear them with a little navy skirt I picked up.

You look wonderful! I absolutely love that navy polka dot dress. I, too, have an obsession with gold things. They're so shiny and I just love how nice gold accessories look with my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is adorable on you, I love your sweet little glasses as well.
ReplyDeleteyou're looking darling lately.
ReplyDeleteI love that song, I remember downloading one of your "mellow" mixes a while back. This version is different.. I like it. stay lovely :)
I love you with glasses!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, your first paragraph made me laugh! As for the stereotypical librarian, I wish I worked with cute ones like you ;)
gold nail polish?? so cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm a librarian and I love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit. It looks hella good on you, girl.

love the lighting in these pics....cute outfit : )
ReplyDeleteYou'll love the weather in Chicago! I live about an hour north and I've been wearing tights and cardigans/jackets the past three days! It's not really cold but after the 90 degree weather we had last week I feel like I'd freeze without tights and jacket. Guess I'll feel differently next April when it's 65 degrees, right? :D
ReplyDeleteP.S. Lovely outfit! Navy and maroon and gold are some of my favorite colors! <3
ReplyDeleteI work in a library and I must say that if you ever worked there, the creeps would come a crawlin'!! Hehe. Anytime I wear a 'nice' outfit everyone feels the need to come to the front desk and say how beautiful I am (the effect is a little off when they've been drinking...) or ask what the special occasion is.
ReplyDeleteBut I must say, you look beautiful as always!
You are the most adorable (non offensive) librarian inspired gal eva!
ReplyDeleteI'm the SAME WAY! Josh gets funny acting when I start wearing an outfit more than once because I have "so many outfits" haha. He's adorable.
I can't wait to start wearing tights!

I lo.lo.LOVE this outfit! Your hair, the glasses, your pretty shiny purse! It all goes so well with the dress :) It's like the perfect back to school outfit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your dotty dress and this awesome color palette Kaelah!
ReplyDeleteI know I'm not supposed to care much about it, but the four dots are actually my favourite part of this post. Not that you're not adorable! But it's great to see the colors you've put together in a simple format like that.
