Home Inspiration

It's crazy for me to sit in our loft and think that this is our last week here. It's so incredibly bittersweet. We're so tickled to be moving across the river and to have a home, a fenced in yard (soon!), and a bathtub (!!!), but we can't help but sit in bed every night and tell each other how much we really love it here. We're not sure we'll ever live anywhere with this much character again, but who knows. Our loft totally isn't for everyone, but we love how "home sweet home" we made it feel. But we're also really excited to do that with our new house, too! I can't help but scour Pinterest on the daily for home projects that I want to sink my teeth into. I shared a few in a recent TiLT post but here are some things I'm hoping to give a whirl over the next several weeks (or just things I think are neat!)!

Do you have a specific aesthetic? (Better yet, do you + your partner agree on the same style/look of things?!) Mike is much more modern/minimal than I am, and I love shabby chic and feminine... It's always a fun tightrope to walk in our home! (At least he's handy with some power tools!)

Wedding Wednesday

My "I do." pinboard on Pinterest has been getting a lot of loving recently. We're down to the wire to nail down a date for our Autumn 2012 wedding and I am so excited! 95% of me doesn't want to wait until next year (I mean, we've been engaged for almost 7 months now!), but the remaining 5% knows that it's the only way to be able to DIY and dream up our perfect day. We're hammering down a bunch of details though and we'll be paying attention to October's weather because so far October is looking a lot nicer in terms of Mother Nature than September! Spring Awakening

Spring has sprung! Even though it feels like sticky summer in Tennessee already, I know Spring is in full swing as I've bought my weight in aloe + lotion Kleenex stock for the house! I can't go a single day without my dose of Zyrtec and my nose is red and irritated. I wouldn't trade it though! The bumblebees are zipping through the open windows and making friends with my little window-sill garden. (I haven't killed them yet! The plants, that is! My thumb is just a little less black, me thinks!)
