Favorite 'Fumes?

Eau De Parfum
And no, I don't mean like gasoline or anything like that!

When I think about perfume I can't help but think mature, elegant, fancy... I'm not sure all of those adjectives rightfully describes the choices out there, but there's something about the shape of the glass bottles and the intricate design/tops that I simply can't get enough of. Well, at least looking at. Truth be told: I don't own a single fancy perfume. I guess I've never really been "that girl". But I am interested in finding a fun new scent that I'll wear daily. We all like to smell good, right? (I hope so!)

It's easy to get lost in the endless sea of what's available out there. Everything on the shelves looks so pretty, and even if you're not a huge fan of the scent you can see yourself putting that glass bottle on your mirrored vanity tray as a decorative piece. That's one thing about perfume that fascinates me! We use the packaging as decoration... marvelous! I honestly wear an $18 perfume from Anthropologie (that I love, don't get me wrong!) but it almost seems as if it doesn't quite stand up to the faceted glass pieces above.

I'm not one to go spend $100+ on some perfume. It just isn't that big of a priority to me. I have a few Sephora giftcards that I've been holding onto for far too long and I've ran out of my signature scent so I'm thinking that maybe this week I'll venture in and pick up a new one. Change is good, yea? I can't possibly test them all (Hello headache!) so I'm going to rely on you...

What is your favorite scent? Why? What does it smell like? What draws you to it?

I tend to love flower-y scents (though I don't want to smell as though I bathed in a liquid rose garden!), and I like a crisp, clean smell. I'm not much of a "musky" type of gal! How about you?

PS; If you're interested in any of the above perfumes, here is all of the source information for them!

  1. Although it may be popular, I'm a fan of Brittany Spears' "Fantasy." Pretty spendy but I bought mine at Ross and saved a butt load of money. That bottle of purfume lasted me more than a year (a year!) You only need a little bit though. Everyone has always asked me what I use, it gets positive reviews from strangers even. Hah!
I'm also a fan of flowery girly scents. My other favorite is called Pink Ice. It's from Rue 21- it's so YUMMY! :)

  3. My two go to perfumes are Valentino Rock 'n' Rose and Lancome Hypnose. The former is light and floral, with a slight edge, the latter is kinda flowery, with vanilla. Yum! :)

Hope you have fun picking a new scent!

  8. i fell for Candy by Prada. most people won't like the smell (it smells just like candy. not as a metaphor, like *actual* caramel). also, the new jimmy choo fragrance is good.
of course, those are two of the newest perfumes out there. really expensive :(

  9. I tend to like fruity scents. My fav is Ralph by Ralph Lauren (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P9009&categoryId=C23264) It smells flowery, but it reminds me of APPLES the most, which I love.

I also have the original Harajuku Lovers set of perfumes. Gotta love those bottles! My favorites of those are Love and Music.

Also thinking about getting some of those Tokidoki rollerball ones. I'm really more of a sucker for perfume bottles, as you can see. The only boring bottle I have is Ralph because I love the smell so much!

  10. My favorite smell (not the wearable kind ;)) is oil paint. It reminds of buying oil paintings across from Notre Dame with summer, and it's just an all over amazing smell.

  11. My favourite perfumes are Gwen Stefani's 'G' for everyday use because it's not too overpowering and it smells like coconut. My other favourite is Betsey Johnson's perfume because it has a mellow fruity scent and I love anything Betsey.

  12. As much as I hate to admit it, I LOVE Britney Spears' "Fantasy" - seriously one of my alltime favorites. I find myself going back to it a lot. Whenever I wear it, someone always tells me how good I smell!

So I love that, and I really like "Sensual Amber" from Bath & Body works. They're sprays are great but their perfumes are amazing. The bottle lasts forever and it's only $27! Sensual Amber is like a mix of vanilla, sandalwood, and amber. Definitely perfect for the fall!

  13. I love Daisy by Marc Jacobs because it's fresh, and I also love D&G 3 L'imperatrice because it's fruity, flirty, and light!

  14. I can vouch for the Versace 'Bright Crystal' and the Elie Saab ones. They're both delicious. Light and subtle and very feminine. I don't like the musky heavy kind either. 'Bright Crystal' I bought at Nordstrom Rack for $45 and the Elie Saab, I must admit, I did pay the $60 for the 1oz bottle at Nordstrom. Also I like Hillary Duff's 'With Love' for winter. That scent just reminds me of christmas.

  15. I Looooove Flowerbomb (Viktor & Rolf) it's a bit pricey but it's delicious. My second fave would have to be Hypnose by Lancome, and I also love Amor Amor by Cacharel! xxo

  18. Be Delicious by DKNY (the original green one) is probably my favorite. It smells apple-y. I love crisp, fruity scents, particularly citrus.

  19. Justin Bieber has a fragrance...? Wow.

I don't really spend money on fragrance, but I was given Harajuku Lovers Baby and the Versace Bright Crystal you pictured. I like the YSL Babydoll too, but somehow a new bottle never takes priority when I get paid- sigh!

  20. I am a fan of Avon's Haiku. It's simple, clean and while this may sound silly... Rejuvenates me. It's such a fresh, feminine scent! LOVE!

Another scent I love is PBRs (that's Professional Bull Racing) women's scent: Tenacious. I would say it's a punchy, fruity and woodsy scent. I love the brand since I rode bulls and am a cowgirl, the glass is cute and the scent is fun and kinda sexy! ^_-

I'm hoping to try some Harajuku Lovers perfumes soon!

  22. Ugh fancy perfumes are so beyond me! I still wear the same bath and body works spray from high school! I also use a lot of LUSH products which are naturally very smelly and yummy so sometimes I don't really need any body spray or perfume.

  23. My favourite is Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' Eau So Fresh, the pink one. It's so gorgeous and fresh and I like it so much more than Lola. Also the Harajuki Lovers are worth checking out my only problem is they don't have much perfume in the bottle. xo

  24. I can't say I am a huge fan of commercial perfumes. I tend to buy from small independent perfume oil companies online and on Etsy. My favorite company is Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. They have a HUGE selection of scents along with a wonderful forum with reviews and even the option to buy samples. Some of my favorite General Catalogue scents include Alice (milk carnation and a touch of crisp rose), Florence (which is velvety amber, berries, and a good bit of spices), and of course Mag Mell (bright zingy white ginger and verbena with a good bit of golden amber thrown in). I definitely recommend them and suggest checking out their website!

  25. I wear Chanel Chance. I never would of known about it except I got a free sample in my cosmo magazine last year and fell in love instantly. I was never a big perfume girl. I always wore this pink kind from Victoria Secret. Anyways I got the Chance for my bday in December and love it. The bottle was like $50 and I'm no where near empty

  26. I LOVE Pink Sugar by Aqualina. I don't know what it is about it, but my husband says it smells like fabulous cotton candy.... I think it smells sweet and vanilla and wonderful :)

  27. My favorites are Diesel's Fuel For Life and Lucky Brand Number 6. Not sure how to describe them other than "spicy". Absolutely love them, just a tiny whiff can brighten my day. I also have an affinity for a scent from Bath & Body Works called Breathe Delight. It's a lovely citrus-y tamarind. Yummm!

  28. Marc Jacobs "Oh! Lola" has become my new fav. It smells so much fresher and lighter than the original Lola. http://luckyscent.com/ is an amazing site to check out. You can buy samples of lots of their perfumes.

  30. I work in a beauty department at a large department store, so lucky for me I get to try all the new perfumes when they come in! (Seriously, I don't even put on perfume before going to work when I can try a new one every day!)

Here are some of my favorites:
-Viva La Juicy (I think all of the other Juicy Couture scents smell too old except for this one. But this isn't fruity--it's more vanilla-y)
-Daisy by Marc Jacobs (so girly and great... not too overpowering)
-Twirl by Kate Spade (probably my favorite! It's so perfect)
-Sarah Jessica Parker's "SJP NYC" (a mix of fruits with bottom notes of musk but not too over powering)
-Escada's Taj Dreams (mango and pineapple! ahhhh)
-Beyonce Heat Rush (It's like a mix between SJP NYC and Taj Dreams)
    -Michael Kors Hollywood (super feminine)

I know you said you didn't like musk but when I had to go take a "Beauty School" course for my job I learned that musk is the most versatile bottom note that a perfume can have. It works with every body chemistry and smells different on every body chemistry. Give it a try; maybe you'll like it! :]

  31. Nina by Nina Ricci! I love it, its beautiful - and the bottle is red glass shaped like an apple, with a silver cap stem and leaf!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Okay, I"ve TOTALLY go you on this one, I just feel it. I am not a perfume kind of gal, but I do keep a bottle of Lolita Lempicka on my dresser that I use for special occasions. PLEASE look into sampling this one. It does have a touch of musk to it, but it mainly floral, but not rosy. Plus, LOOK AT THE FREAKIN' BOTTLE! Gorgeous gold-stemmed apple. Seriously, this is THE ONE.

I have a bottle that retails for 80-ish that I was able to find online for about 40. But they also sell it at Sephora (see link) so you can use a gift card.

Hope that helps. I really love this scent and am super eager to get others into it! <3

  33. My favorite perfume is "Bohemian" from American Eagle. It's flowery and fun, and cheap too! http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat4320008&productId=2403_2200&cid=AEO_CSE_k22350&mr:trackingCode=E55F821F-FCE1-DF11-B41F-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA
Their "Aeire" scent is so soft and pretty too.
On special occasions I wear Halo from Victoria Secret (discontinued) or Vera Wang Princess

  35. Unfortunately almost anything floral gives me a super headache. The exceptions are things that are lightly infused with rose or jasmine.

It's okay, though, because I LOVE citrus scents, and earthy things like sandalwood and patchouli.

My favorite scent right now is Hesperedes by Fresh. You can get it at Sephora.

It' Italian Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Lotus Flower, Jasmine, Rhubarb, Musk, Peach

  36. My favorite "fancy" perfume is Flowerbomb (pictured in your collage). Someone I used to work with wore it and I about died of delight every time I smelled it... I would never spend so much on a perfume for myself but my boyfriend bought me the bottle one year as a Christmas gift. :) I always get 94827474 compliments on it any time I wear it!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh yeah, a friend of mine wears D&G Light Blue and I like it. I've never put it on myself so I don't know if it would give me a headache if I wore it, but it doesn't bother me on other people.

  38. Okay, I just keep commenting, which is weird for someone who doesn't really get into perfume, but I guess the ones I actually like really stick out in my mind. Last post, I swear.

I wore CK One all through high school. It's really crisp and fresh.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I love love love Victor and Rolf Flower bomb. It smells amazing and all you need is a little spritz. Their summer version was lighter and had a bit more floral scent.
Oh and the bottle and packaging are awesome

  40. You must give Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs a smell! It's very floral and dainty and fresh. I wore it all summer and always got compliments :)

  43. I adore perfumes, I can't seem to get enough!

I'm totally addicted to Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, my favorite scent being La Bella Donna Della Mia Mente- here's the description from the site:

"Soft, lush myrtle and dry, sweet melilot with wild rose, pomegranate juice and peach blossom against a background of deep aquatic notes and a twirl of melancholy autumn breezes"

I also am a huge fan of every Jo Malone scent I've ever smelled, and I often enjoy wearing men's cologne! I steal my hubby's all the time :)

  44. Perfumes give me headaches, sometimes migraines, so I'm not a fan (especially when people BATHE in the stuff!), although the Demeter fragrances and their weird scents have always intrigued me. If I could deal with perfume I'd probably buy something inexpensive and put it in a pretty vintage bottle... unless, for some reason, that will mess up the scent or something.

  45. It's funny you posted this - I was just contemplating a little perfume splurge just before I read your post!

Currently I too have a little one I wear daily from Anthropologie that I just love - It's Sparrow by Tokyo Milk. But for fancy schmancy days I really like Versace's Bright Crystal and Anything by Marc Jacobs. Marc Jabobs Woman [I think that's the name - it's in the most simple bottle] was the first grown-up perfume I ever bought. I love it, but it's a little heavy and I usually only wear it during Winter. Today I'm wearing Oh, Lola! I really like it, Light, Flowery, Pretty.

Perfume shopping is really difficult because I feel like they never smell the same as they do in the store when you're surrounded by 800 other scents.

I've heard some really great things about Kate Spade's Twirl too! Let us know what you end up with!

  46. I am not typically a Coach girl--though I am an avid handbag lover, I am probably the one girl in the world who is bored to tears by Coach bags. But I adore Poppy, a perfume by Coach. It is fun, fresh, slightly fruity, slightly floral and still comes off as sophisticated. And the bottle is darling, too! I am a girl who likes TOO MANY things, and this perfume combines them all perfecty.

  47. Gucci Envy Me - Light girly scent, my go to for everyday wear.
I also have Flower by Kenzo, which i've been using for almost 10 years and Nina by Nina Ricci - This ones a bit sweeter though

  48. I've used Vera Wang Princess for a few years and I like it a lot... it smells mostly like vanilla, and a bit floral. I was given that Harajuku Lovers 'G of the Sea' for my birthday this year and I love it! It's like a day at the beach but without the fish, haha. Plus the bottle is so adorable.

  49. i've been wearing "very irrestible" by givenchy for almost 7 years now...it's so amazing. sometimes i wear "miss doir cherie" though...both smell amazing.

  50. I like very few store-bought scents. They smell like chemicals to me. =[

I get my everyday perfume custom made by Eskimo Kissez on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/EskimoKissez

I told her what I like and she put it together for me and I LOVE it.
She has a million scents on her website (http://www.eskimokissez.com/description.html) and the one we put together is Wanderlust: A spicy blend of cinnamon, clove, french vanilla, sandalwood and musk that is reminiscent of middle eastern tea shops.

I am also a huge fan of BPAL's Wrath: A scent aflame with rage, swirling in the red haze of hatred: dragon's blood spiked with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon.

  53. I use Calvin Kleins Euphoria. It's been my "scent" since senior yr of high school! All my friend recognize it now as well! It's not too girly, not too flowery, and I only need a little bit because it's a little strong but distinct! Love it!! But I love Chanel no.5! Classic! Chanel Chance is so light and it smells so lovely also!

  54. I’ve never been one to wear perfume. I generally don’t like flowery perfumes. Fruity ones smell ok, but I don’t really want to smell like fruit. Anything vanilla just smells too sickeningly sweet to me (this coming from a former sugar addict, no less). I tend to like spicy scents, but never found one that smells good on me. That’s the thing, too. Something about my body chemistry does not allow perfume to smell good on me.

That said, I've been on a perfume seeking mission the past three years. I've found a few artisan perfumes that I really like, and actually smell amazing on me. The bottles aren't pretty, but the contents are incredible:

Filthy Viking by Arcana is my #1 favorite. Arcana describes the scent as “bracing Norwegian juniper, frigid Icelandic mint and the hardy wood of a longship.” I like it because it’s kinda earthy, but not manly. I still feel feminine wearing it!

Moxie by Faratiffe Oils is my #2 favorite. It’s a blend of Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Deep Bourbon Vanilla and Tahitian Vanilla, but it’s not flowery and the vanilla is super subtle. It’s a very warm scent—sort of spicy, but also calming. It’s absolutely incredible!

Covet by Faratiffe Oils is my #3 favorite. Covet is described as: “Deep in love’s bliss, wound together forever… the best of the sweetness of passion’s pure ecstasy, this heavenly scent is sure to transfix and bewitch with its rapturous aroma like a sweet-tart.” I gotta say, it is sort of sweet-tart-like, but much softer. It’s sweet, but not overbearingly so. It’s got a little bit of spice in it, but just a dab. It’s not really fruity or flowery in a conventional perfumey way, either. I know I’m not explaining it very well, but believe me when I say it smells extraordinary.

  55. Just another person rec'ing BPAL over here! I haven't worn anything in a while though, so I can't specify any scent in particular.

  56. I love fresh, clean scents with a hint of flower. My favorites:
La Lune by D&G (huge pretty bottle, lasts forever!!)
Ralph by Ralph Lauren which I have been wearing since middle school but I really love it and it's my go-to summer scent!
There's Contradiction by Calvin Klein which is awesome too, but much harder to find!
Rose by Paul Smith is also pretty good but a little too much sometimes. I think your best option might be the D&G!

Good luck and remember to use those coffee beans! It helps clear the scents from your nose!

  57. I love Marc Jacobs Daisy & CD J'dore. They bothe have Jasmine in it & it's my favourite flower.
Also love CK One. It's fresh & I used to wear it in highschool.

  58. Kenzo Amour is my all time favourite and one of the most interesting perfumes I have ever tested. I'm the same as you, I like fresh floral/citruses usually and dislike spicy musky perfumes, this one I found so different and perfect- just check out these base notes:

Frangipani, cherry blossom, white tea, frankincense, thanaka wood, rice steam, vanilla.

    Amazing.

    ~Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal
~Anna Sui in the purple and black bottle
    ~Gingerale by Demeter
    ~Music from Harajuku lovers
I'm excited to see that Scentsy now has solid perfume and want to get my hands on Enchanted Mist.

  60. I really love Marc Jacobs' Daisy, Hugo Boss XX, and Lacoste Touch of Pink. They're all pretty light and feminine without smelling too sweet. The Hugo Boss one is my favorite, but it's also the one I've had the hardest time tracking down!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I personally love my Lavanila I just got from Sephora today! I love it because it's made from naturally derived ingredients and the pure vanilla scent lasts allllllll day! It might be a tad too warm if you don't like musky, woodsy scents. the warmth of it is part of the reason why I like it.

If you like flowery scents, the lady at Sephora have me a sample of DKNY's new scent today, Pure. So amazing and fresh and fruity! Very clean and sweet but not so much you'll get a headache.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I think the best thing to do when picking out a new perfume is go to a store (sephora, macys, ulta, etc) and try them out yourself. Let him sit on your skin so you can get a good impression of how they mix with your natural scent (or whatever they call that). Then when you find one you luff, buy it online, since it is far cheaper.

I use to always buy perfume, it was my thing. I still love perfume but I'm picky and scents easily give me a headache or make me feel nauseous.

I wear Pink Sugar by Aquolina and I've heard things like it being a juvenile scent, too sweet, and also makes everyone around me want baked goods. I love it so I ignore the criticism and blame for driving others to baked goods.

Over the years I've worn Burberry (gosh can't remember which one), Lolita Lempicka scents, Pink by Victoria secret which is very floral, and a few others. You might like Pink by VS, it smells like spring flowers to me.

    Happy perfume shopping.

  64. I got nothing. I'm a musky, woodsy, earthy scent wearing girl. I used to wear Contradiction by Calvin Klein, but it was discontinued. Then Sephora has this scent finder on their website. You can put in perfumes you like and it will give you perfumes that are similar. That's how I found The One by Dolce and Gabana. Then, last summer while I was in New York, Miss Nickie of Wild as a Mink got me hooked on pachouli oil. As notorious as it is, I get a LOT of compliments on it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I've recently started wearing Poppy by Coach. It's a floral scent and certainly comes in very pretty packaging. I think you would like! You can find it here.

My all time favorites would be Heavenly by Victoria's Secret and Juicy Couture..by, well, of course, Juicy Couture..hah :) Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  66. In terms of a flowery sweet scent I adore D&G La Lune. Its so nice and not at all an overpowering smell at all (which I think is super important for all perfumes!). I think thats why I cant stand the DKNY Be delicious, because while its a nice smell, you can smell it from so far away and know what it is without asking!

My all time favourite perfume though is Stella McCartney's Stella. Its soooo good! I think its a perfect 'cooler months' perfume and I get so many compliments on it!

    Good luck! x

    ReplyDelete
  67. I switch between Lolita Lempicka (a sweet scent that, from your description, sounds like something you would like) and Flowerbomb (more musky, probably not something you would like as much.)

Lolita Lempicka runs about $90 from Nordstrom, but I saw it at Costco for $30 and it runs about $35 on Amazon. I love it to bits, and it has the most beautiful bottle.

  68. I love this post!! Perfumes and scents say so much about a person!
Right now I'm loving Look by Vera Wang and Chloe` .. the two couldn't be more different from each other! Look is very strong and powerful whereas Chloe` is so light and fresh! Xx

  69. I'm allergic to perfume; I can come out in a rash just from walking past someone who's wearing a little too much of it. :(

On that note, I react worst to Opium, so I'd suggest anything but that!

    ReplyDelete
  70. My favourite for a really long time was Daisy by Marc Jacobs, I found it to be the perfect everyday scent and it's definitely my most used bottle. However, I was recently given the newest Marc Jacob's scent Oh! Lola! (different from Lola, which I still like but not as much as Daisy or Oh! Lola!) and I actually think it has the potentially to overtake Daisy as my favourite. It achieves floral and fruity at the same time, with a hint of vanilla! Gorgeous!

  71. I love Vera Wang Princess, it's such a lovely smell, not too fresh not too musky so you can wear it during the day and at night. The bottle is so cute as well, it's got a little crown on the top of it and it's heart shaped!

    ReplyDelete
  72. My fave is SJP - NYC or Sarah Jessica Parker - New York City. It's a lovely floral perfume and costs about $50. It's just the loveliest perfume I've ever had, I went through a bottle in under a year because I wanted to wear it everyday! The bottle is so cute as well, I hate fancy pants bottles, boooo!!

  73. I love DKNY be delicious (green). It's light, fresh and smells like apples.

  74. I love 'real' perfumes the most. They're just so delicate, so well-tuned, so rich of scent (but not too much!).

My favorites are Kenzo Flower Essentielle & Missoni Acqua

  75. Awwww this mermaid flacon looks so adorable :D
my favourite perfume is L'eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake because it smells like a huge bouquet of flowers :) But it's quite expensive to me so my normal everday perfume is "Fresia" by Zara perfumes, it smells (oh what a surprise) like freesias and is a rather fresh, light and uncomplicated scent.

  76. As far as fragrances that they offer at Sephora that I recommend go, I've really like:
((Mind you, I have a bit of a perfume obsession so excuse me if this is lengthy))

-Miss Dior Cherie by Dior - I recently was in Sephora looking for a new 'fall' scent and decided to spray on some of this goodness. At first, I was iffy about it but once it settled on my skin, I COULD NOT stop smelling myself all day.

    - Lola by Marc Jacobs - Another one I recently smelled. I've never owned it so I can’t vouch on the longevity but it smells pretty and the bottle is adorable

    - Chance by Chanel- Again ANOTHER one I recently tried. It was quite nice. I can’t really remember what it smells like now though :x

    - Sugar Lychee by Fresh - This is one that I've owned and really have loved. It lasts a VERY LONG time since it’s an eau de parfum. To me, it is a very 'spring/summer' scent.
    - Bright Crystal by Versace- Another one I've owned and adored. It also lasts a long time even though it's an eau de toilette. I think they might offer a parfum option now but I'm not sure.

    - Alien by Thierry Mugler- Okay, this one is damn expensive. The bottle is divine. Despite the name, which at first made me skeptical, it is absolutely amazing. I haven't owned this one but I assume it probably lasts pretty long.

    - Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana – I would describe this one as been very fresh and crisp. Probably another I, personally, would categorize as a Spring/Summer scent but that’s just me.

    - Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture – I really didn’t want to like this one. Usually when I think of JC I think of all the ridiculous girls I went to high school with that were obsessed with ~*~*~Juicy Couture and tanning. Regardless, it smells very nice. I’ve gotten quite a few compliments while wearing this.

    - Armani Code Pour Femme by Giorgio Armani -- I cant really remember what this one smells like besides it being a very nice floral as I ran out quite some time ago.

    - Flora by Gucci – I haven’t owned this one but it smells divine.

    - Be Delicious by DKNY – A LOT of people really love this scent. I’ve owned it and used it up but wouldn’t say it’s been a favorite or that I’d repurchase it. I can be sensitive to some scents and for some reason this one can make my sinuses go crazy.

    - Fantasy by Britney Spears – Like Viva La Juicy, I did NOT want to like this one. I’ve always dismissed her fragrances as being tacky or immature. However, once day while in Targét, I impulsively spritzed it and, like with the Miss Dior Cherie, could not stop smelling my arm where I had sprayed it. I haven’t purchased it so I’m not sure if it’s very lasting. Another plus about this one is that it’s much more affordable.

    - Pretty much anything by Escada – Escada’s perfumes are notoriously very sweet and girly. I’m sure some would consider them to be TOO sweet but I think they’re fun. One thing that I don’t like about Escada is that all of their perfumes are kind of a limited run deal. When they introduce their new scent, they’ll discontinue selling /producing (I think?) whatever the previous was. I do see these discounted in stores like TJ MAXX/Marshall’s/Ross/etc a lot.

    - Amor Amor by Cacharel – They don’t offer this one at Sephora but I believe they sell it in department stores and Ulta. I haven’t worn this scent in YEARS but I loved it. It’s also another one that isn’t too expensive.

  77. My favorite perfume is Marc Jacobs Daisy. It's been out for a few years now and I have been using it since it first came out. I just can't get enough. It has a light airy floral cent and I just adore. It's kind of like my signature sent now. XO, Rae

  78. I'm a fan of fruit smells... so my favorite is DKNY Delicious. It has an apple-y scent that is touched by flowers, but without being too sweet. The other varieties are great, too.

  79. I really like sweeter scents. Kind of candy-like. Here's a few of my favs: Justin Bieber Someday (trust me its good!) Vera Wang Lovestruck, Miss Dior Cherie, Viva La Juicy, Kat Von D Saint & Adora (I like Saint best) and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue will always be in my top 5. Hope that helps :)

  80. I wear Kate Spade twirl.. it's a fun scent, fruity/spicy ish and very girly.

  81. I wear Britney Spears "Midnight Fantasy"...oh yeah...I'm a dork. But I really like how it smells on me and I have the hardest time finding scents that go with my PH. So it's definitely my favorite. :)

  84. i see some other people mentioned this one, and i must agree - DKNY Be Delicious is SOOO good. nice & fruity! there are some different variations of it as well (i have several roller ball ones that i got in a holiday pack - i can't remember the specific names but basically any type of the be delicious perfumes are awesome). also, while i hate paris hilton.....i loooove her Heiress perfume. something about it smells so good. sweet, flowery but not overpowering. my newest favorite is kat von d's Saint (from sephora). all are great!!

  85. I *just* told my friend I'd give her all of my perfume I've collected (over $500 worth of perfume!!) Ack, I would have gladly handed it to you, too. My favorite was Daisy from MJ in that collection. I recently decided to go organic and chemical free. I know whatever you find you will love. Those are some great choices you have.

  86. I ONLY wear Chanel Chance. It's the best. I'm going on 6 years of wearing it. I have the nose of a bloodhound so I am extremely picky. Chance is not too floral, you don't smell like a grandma, but you also don't smell like ... well.. a slutbag. I've determined most promiscuous girls smell a certain way.. HAHA. I hope you'll spot my sense of humor in this and truly believe me that Chance is a classic and beautiful perfume.

  89. I think if you have a signature scent and you love it and it feels natural to you, you should buy another one. Trying out new perfumes is for when you have extra cash to spend.

With that being said, I love Gucci's Guilty. It's dark and flowery.
I wrote a post on my favorite perfumes here: http://aweekfromthursday.wordpress.com/2011/01/19/scent-of-a-woman-my-perfume-collection/

  91. Ohhh I'm a huge scent girl. I love me some florals also. I tent to only get my perfume as gifts since I tend to like the more expensive stuff. Right now I switch from
    Versace.. signature
    Michael Kors
    Mary Kay- Bella
    Juicy
And Gorilla perfume .. Tuca Tuca is different for me but I love it.

  92. My signature scent is Dolce & Gabbana "The One", but it's kinda "musky". I love love love Daisy by Marc Jacobs. It's flower and crisp and yummy!

I also love Poppy by Coach(I think?), Very Hollywood by Michael Kors, Miss Dior Cherie, and sooo many more. But I can't justify all that money...so I get samples when I order from Sephora and I use them until they dry up. Lol!

  93. I absolutely adore Dolce & Gabbana 3, from their number series. It's a simple glass bottle with a beautiful rose-colored perfume inside. What has always drawn me to it is that it's a rosy, flowery scent, but it's also somehow fresh and crisp and not overly flowery or musty. I find it hard to find floral scents that aren't overwhelming, but this one manages to stay so delicate and clean-smelling. Highly recommended, especially considering your description of your ideal scent. It's a little bit pricy (you're talking $70-$80), but will last forever because 1-2 sprays has you covered for the day. Totally worth it.

  95. My all time favourite perfume is Marc Jacobes - Daisy. Sadly I'm nearly out and have been wearing my back ups, Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne and Vintage by Kate Moss. I also love the majority of the Armani scents which I used to wear as a teenager.

  96. I have thousands of perfumes (not really, but I have like 20 of them), the first thing that I see is the bottle and design, after if I like how it smells I go for it, I really love perfumes, my favorites are
Heiress by Paris Hilton, Fantasy by Britney Spears, Lolita Lempika those are really sweet and yummy.
The last two I bough was one by Mariah Carey, this one came in a giant candy and its a package of three scents with butterflies bottles in yellow, blue and red and they all smell different; the other one is King of pop by Michael Jackson, another package, that comes with shower gel and body cream and a small perfume bottle to carry with you.
Not really expensive perfumes but really yummy scents!
Packages are the best, you can get real deals!
