// Pumpkin Spice Hot Toddy Cocktail (+ Mocktail!)

Pumpkin Spice Hot Toddy - KaelahBee.com
Okay, real talk time! I've never been into pumpkin flavored anything. Truth be told, the thought of eating pumpkin and pumpkin flavored stuff sort of grosses me out. I don't get hyped up about September 1st, and the only PSL I ever buy is for Mike... but I made a pumpkin spice hot toddy for the Autumn season and maybe, just maybe, I can understand why people get so worked up about it.

Don't get me wrong... I probably won't be chowing down on pumpkin pie anytime soon, and I won't be ordering a PSL for myself (Sorry, Caramel Apple Spice has my Autumn-loving heart!), but I can certainly get down with some pumpkin spice syrup and some whiskey! If that sounds like your jam, you'll be into this drink, I promise!

I created this drink for LuLu*s (remember my Hot Summer cocktails for them a few months ago?) and just like the last time, there's an alcohol version and a mocktail version. That way everyone gets to join in on the splendor that is a warm, creamy Hot Toddy!

Pop on over to the LuLu*s blog to get the full recipe run down! Let me know if you think you'll be trying it soon! It makes me want to host an Autumn get-together for sure. Not to mention create more season-appropriate cocktails! It's kind of fun when that's part of your "job," ya know? Happy Friday!

    2. I do not even care. I LOVE PSL'S (although only with half the syrup because otherwise my teeth itch for days) and this... oh this. Yeah, I am going to be the best-liked person at our annual Halloween party with this drink!

Well... best-liked person after the Bacon Fairy.

  5. Oh my goodness this looks so delicious! I've never been a fan of pumpkin pie and when I do order a "special" drink with pumpkin in it I'm very picky when it comes to what kind since there's like a million different types of coffee type drinks these days! I'm all about the caramel, but they're times when I grave a little pumpkin spice in my life!

I love Your honesty haha I do prefer apples with cinnamon to pumpkin any day as well! Haha but I do like the savory things My mother makes with pumpkins!

  11. This sounds ridiculously good. I love hot toddies, and I love PSLs, so a sort of combination of the two would probably be the perfect fall drink!

  14. Hi Kaelah, I always look forward to your "things I love Thursday" and I had to link you to this video that i think would be perfect..... this guy (an australian soap actor) raps the names of every country in the world (learned from Animaniacs) to the tune of Macklemore's 'Can't Hold Us'. Even more impressively- he was appearing as part of a yearly childrens hospital Telethon held in Western Australia- it's the highest fundraising telethon per capita in the world and this year our state raised 20.7 million dollars in 26 hours from a population of just 2.7 million people (that's two-fifths of Tenessee's population- the equivalent to tennessee raising ~$50mil in the same amount of time). The money goes towards life-saving equipment for the only childrens hospital in Western Australia (google it, it's a giant piece of land) and the rest goes into research which not only benefits WA children, but children (and adults) around the world. But enough talking, watch the video- it's great!!
