// Hidden Gems at WWDMAGIC

One of my favorite things about attending WWDMAGIC last August was finding so many amazing brands that I had never heard of before. Sure, it was totally awesome to put some faces with the names of my favorite big brands, but nothing could prepare me for what was behind those doors at the Las Vegas Convention Center. If you've never experienced MAGIC before, let me just tell you: it is chaos! Chaos in the best way, but somewhat overwhelming when you look at it from the entrance!

During the August show I spent a lot of my time traipsing the aisles of the floor with Alex, checking out each and every booth we came across. I was sure to make mental notes of the brands I wanted to look into further once I had time, but this year I've decided to be more pro-active. Instead of waiting to see what each booth had in store, I decided to browse the brand list for names I had never heard of. After spending a few hours lurking websites and Facebooks, I was more than pleasantly surprised!

I created a little list of my top 9 hidden gems from WWDMAGIC this February. Here are my favorite picks: 1) Cut N' Paste "Casey" Bag - I love the utilitarian look and feel of this bag. It's large enough to take on plane trips, but still reasonable enough to carry as an every day bag. It's sold as a laptop bag, but I would definitely use it for everything else! 2) Pop Eyewear Cat Eye Sunglasses - I'm a sucker for anything cat eye and anything tortoise! 3) Johnny Was "Vivienne Lacey Trim" Dress - The effortlessly boho look of this dress is so dreamy. Top it with a burgundy felt hat and some ankle boots, then you're ready to go. 4) Liz Soto Camel Tote - This tote bag is the perfect casual, yet classy, answer to your handbag needs. The tassel on the front gives it just enough personality to be worn in every day fashion, but you could easily dress it up. 5) Poppy Lux "Pippa" Pinafore Dress - Poppy Lux was one of my favorite brands that I came across for sure (Their whole website has so much sass and edge!). This pinafore dress was screaming my name with the scalloped details and lace overlay. 6) Knot Sisters "Solana" Maxi Dress in Toffee - Not only do I love these colors together, I can only imagine how incredibly comfortable this dress must be. I can totally see myself living in maxi dresses this Spring and this one is high on my list! 7) Knot Sisters "Diego" Cardigan - Also from Knot Sisters, this cardigan! I'm super into "blanket sweaters" this season and the dark neutral of this color would work so well with so many outfits. 8) Three Bird Nest Golden Leaf Beaded Turban  - Overall, the Three Bird Nest website was my favorite. The look and feel was totally perfect for their brand. I tried to narrow down my picks to just one item, and I ended up with this beaded turban headband! The color is gorgeous! 9) Nic + Zoe Textured Infinity Scarf - I love me a good infinity scarf, and this grey one is perfect for the almost-negative temperatures we've been having in Tennessee. It looks like it'd be a lot less itchy than a big ol' wool one!

Overall that's eight amazing brands to check out if you find yourself at MAGIC this season. Even if you don't, pop over to their websites and see if anything tickles your fancy. If I'm invited to take part in the MAGIC experience this year, I'll be sure to report back on these brands so you can hear some first hand experience with them!

Let me know if any of these caught your eye!
