Happy Monday, friends! Man, this past weekend was busy. We spent all day Saturday over at my parents house in the pool and grilling out. Toby had the time of his life and I got burnt beyond belief. It was so nice to just lounge around, sip something cold, and enjoy the sun. It was the perfect weather. By the time we got home, Toby passed right out and slept a solid 12 hours. We all woke up around 8am Sunday morning and did it all over again. Crashing early has become our forte haha
This dress is... dun dun dun... a JCPenney find. Are you totally tired of my JCP spam yet? I can't help it! I wasn't sure how the "wrapped" top would work on me since I don't really fill it out, but I couldn't pass up the khaki and color combo. Not to mention this dress has pockets in the same place as my Nine West dresses -- slightly to the front. So much better than placing them directly in the side seams! Those little touches make a world of "wearing" difference. I kept it simple with my straw clutch and some gold jewelry. For some crazy reason I thought the shoes I put on were dark brown, but they were definitely a matte black haha I'd probably swap them out for something more neutral next time, but they're not too bad!
I'm trying to keep the routine of Monday being my "really really productive day" going, but lately I've been letting every little thing distract me. Mike and I talked about some blog-related stuff last week and we really felt like we made some headway with some decisions, and hopefully they'll start falling in place soon. They're things I've talked about and alluded to before, but only recently have they felt like they started to come together. It's a fun feeling, being excited about new horizons :) Kind of strange how such a small space on the internet can take up a big part of your day/brain/passion, ya know?
Here's to hoping my burn turns into a tan soon and I can take outfit photos without matching our (newly painted!) deck. I'm in dire need of paying the nursery a visit so I can outfit the deck with some pretty bits and bobs. It's amazing what a 5 gallon bucket of deck paint can do! Maybe I'll share it once we get it finished! Have a great day, y'all xo

Man, I love that clutch. I was handed down an extremely similar one from my grandmother-in-law, and I really need to start using it!
