A silly little vlog for today. I'm sickly still and sort of boring, but here you go! Also - the quality is rather crap for my iSight on my MBP. Anyone know a way to bump that up?!

Quasi-Sort-Of-Day-Off
Life has been oh-so-very-busy as of late and I apologize for my sporadic blog activity. We're excited to announce some fun news here shortly (I'm sure I've been teasing you if you follow me on twitter!) so stay tuned! I'm eyeball deep in school work, house work, personal projects, etc!
I've been meaning to photograph a headband sent to me by Maryam from Pamplemousse but my schedule totally doesn't sync up with Mike's! I get home at like 1pm tomorrow and he has to be at work at 1 (until 10!) Gah! Luckily we're both free on Friday so I'll def take photos and get it up! Take a look at how cute they are (and her!). Lovely!

Mike and I are also planning on adventuring to some abandoned houses and such this weekend around the Shelbyville area! We found some on our drives this week and I'm hoping we can play with our new Instax 210! (We got our replacement FlipCam too!)

We are already loving the new season of Dexter! Have you watched it?! What are your thoughts?! I wonder if anyone is as nervous as I am! We accidentally missed Glee tonight. I can't figure out why our DVR didn't record it but we'll just watch it tomorrow.
If you've purchased anything from my shop or Etsy since Thursday, it will be shipped tomorrow or Thursday at the latest! I ran out of headbands and then I ran out of bubble envelopes and I can only get the right size at Walmart and Spring Hill doesn't have a Walmart (I'm glad because I loatheeee that place! Hate shopping there!). Anyway, they are on their way soon! I promise!
As for sponsorships: I have 2 small and a large still available. Feel free to CLICK HERE to read about the perks or email me (kaelahbee@gmail.com) to discuss rates! Once they're gone, they're gone!
Annddd I think that about does it for this entry! I'll try to give you something good tomorrow! I just have soooo much homework to do! Eep!

Personal Day

Yesterday I decided to take a personal day. No outfit photos, no blog updates, no email responses. It was nice to wake up, go downstairs, lay on the couch and not move for several hours at a time. I didn't even get out of my pajamas until we took Georgia to the dog park at 7pm. That's right. And then I managed to make it over to Target. But otherwise, I was lounging and watching a White Collar/Burn Notice marathon. I guess I just felt like life had caught up with me over the past 36 hours so I needed to step back, take a breather, and just not worry about anything for any reason. I don't think I even talked to my mom yesterday (which is really unusual). Mondays will be nice, I think, as I don't have class until 3pm and even then, we don't have to report to class every Monday/Wednesday. Tuesday and Thursday it's 9am, and Wednesday it's 10. Yuck. But I do enjoy getting in the routine of waking up early so maybe it'll be good for me.
All I know right now is that my tummy is grumbling and I need to go take a shower. Someone requested a wedding themed mixtape but I may save that for next week. It really depends on what kind of mood I'm in later. We'll see! Hope you all had a fun weekend!
xoxo

The Past Few Days...
I'm tempted to say that my last few days have been rather unexciting (actually, I did say that, in my last Daily Photo), but I suppose that wasn't entirely truthful. I think it has a lot to do with the fact the past few days have left me feeling incredibly exhausted and just down-right blah, in a sense.
Thursday: I spent most of the day working on designs that are now up on the BUST.com site! They're just small little 460x205px subscription coupons of the sort, but there are 16 that rotate in and out so it's fun to see them up on every page. I also have Craftacular ads in 3 different places where 6 rotate in and out. Small, but exciting nonetheless.
I don't have many outfit photos to show you because well, they haven't been awesome or I just haven't documented them. But here is what I wore on Thursday, which was my last day of the work week. (And there's a photo of the close-up of my h&m bike shorts for the anon in my FormSpring who was wondering what they look like. Sorry it's not a better photo but hopefully you can see! If not, email me!)

(dress: a'gaci ($20), bike shorts: h&m ($6), flats: kmart ($13), necklace: c/o dolly & boy)
After work on Thursday, Liz and I did our normal routine which consisted of an hour of cardio at the gym. (Hence my daily photo from Thursday). Afterwards I just kicked it at home until I fell asleep and prepared for Friday. (I always forget to check into the gym, but I remembered on Thursday and I got this badge. It really just made me laugh with what they wrote. Go enjoy a nice greasy burger! You deserve! Ps You look great! Good job, Foursquare! So cute.)

Friday morning I woke up earlier than anticipated so I could get ready for the day. I headed over to AA to pick up a vneck to pair with some skirts I was trying on for the photoshoot with 1Aeon later that evening. I headed up to H&M in Herald Square and picked up several bodycon skirts for only $6 each! They're much different from my typical style but considering I didn't have a single thing with me in NYC but dresses, I needed something to go with the shirts. I also picked up a pair of shorts! SHORTS! I bought shorts! It was exciting for me because 1) they typically don't flatter me in any way 2) the only ones I like are meant for teensy ladies (or so I make myself believe. silly talk!). Anywhoo, I picked up a pair of boyfriend shorts and I love them. I doubt I'll wear them sans tights but maybe! I also snagged a new black cardigan (Lord knows I've been needing to replace mine!) Here are a few ridiculously awful iPhone photos of goodies.

I went home and did my hair and makeup and waited for Liz to get off work. At 4pm we set out for Prospect Park, Brooklyn where Gabe (Owner & Designer of 1Aeon) lives and works. We showed up and got to work! Gabe showed us his quaint and oh-so-adorable apartment where he lives with his wife. It's also where he does ALL of his printing! Holy awesome! This man is a machine, I'm telling you! I really enjoy being around Gabe because he's such a legit dude. It's inspiring to see him put so much heart and work into what he does and it really does show through his stuff! We shot one shirt in his apartment and then two over in the park. Stay tuned for something awesome come up with Gabe! Hopefully I can have it up in the next week or so! I only have a couple of photos from it so far so I'll be sure to post more when I get them. He even let me have all the items we shot and a sweet tote, too! Seriously... dude is SO legit! CLICK HERE to check out his shop and CLICK HERE to follow the 1Aeon blog! (Or HERE for Twitter!) :D (BTWz, keep in mind that I am absolutely NO model! haha! But I always love working with him so don't hate too hard!)

(i hate when my hair does that part thingy in my bangs! i try to fix it all the time, but ah well! even pinning doesnt work! but at least it's freshly dyed!)
After leaving Prospect Park, Liz and I hopped on the train and went north to check out the Fred Flare store! We were both pretty excited about it and it was so quaint and adorable! Liz got a cute necklace and I picked up a pair of pale pink Spitfire Sheldon headphones, a Williamsburg tote, an Arrow ring and some Cath Kidston mini-notebooks! (I really wanted the Disney Couture Shark bracelet but it was a wee bit expensive!)

Then we headed back to Manhattan where we ran into Forever 21 in Union Square and then Whole Foods before heading home. Phew! By the time I got home, I was pooped! I was so so tired. I watched some Pushing Daisies and slept.
Saturday was reallllyyy uneventful. I woke up and headed to UPS where I got a quote for sending my TV home ($150!) and then bought some boxes to start packing. I did just that. I filled one box to the brim and started on the 2nd, realizing that I needed a smaller one (thank goodness!). I got quotes from FedEx too and it seems they'll ship my TV for roughly $80! Win! My room is starting to look much more barren. I spent the day watching a lot of Pushing Daisies as I was trying to not spend any money. I've really been trying to keep a tight hold on my finances and after spending a bit too much on Friday, I realize I need to coooooool it. Luckily I only have 4 and a half days left in the city. I didn't want to dip into my "Yay! We're moving!" Fund haha

Today I slept in and then decided to come to Starbucks across the street for a bit. Trying to get my blog all ready for this week as I know I'll be super busy. I apologize for the lack of personal and outfit posts as of late, but I really have a lot on my plate at the moment so I promise things will be much more exciting around here soon! :D

(dress: forever 21 ($24), bike shorts: h&m ($6), belt: no idea?, flats: kmart ($13), tote: fred flare ($20), headphones: fred flare ($40), backpack: morn creations ($65))
My hair has been in this high bun for 2 days now. After I showered on Friday I was like "OKAY! UP! STAY!" haha It's not the most flattering but it sure is comfy on hot and humid days like today!
xoxo
The Weekend...
I apologize for my brief stint of only posting "Daily Photos"... I suppose I've just been a bit down in the dumps this weekend. It was so nice to come home on Friday evening after work and just rest. I was relaxing for the entire evening, watching several episodes of The L Word, and I managed to sleep in, too! Then yesterday I decided to venture uptown to Times Square where the new flagship Forever 21 store opened on Friday. I didn't feel up to it Friday and Liz and I had said we'd go at some point this week, but I was bored and itching to check it out so on the train I went. Times Square was of course packed, being that it was Saturday, but oh my gosh. You cannot believe how monstrous the Forever 21 is! 4 GIANT floors... it's the size of the Manhattan Mall in Herald Square! I had always thought that nothing could beat the huge 3 story Forever 21 in San Francisco, but it has met it's match for sure. I was in there for hours. Getting lost, finding amazing dresses, getting lost some more. I ended up coming out with a few really really great buys. The only thing I hate about Forever 21 is the sizing! Ugh! I left with a dress in an XS, S, M, AND L! I just don't get it! I have to try on every single thing because nothing fits the same. So frustrating! I'm wearing the dress I bought in an XS today and it fits like a glove. I'm so so very in love with it! So cute! (It's actually coral... not orange like it appears in the photos. Crap lighting!)

dress: forever 21, tights: walmart, flats: kmart.
I came home and again, just relaxed for a bit. I dyed my hair and talked to Mike. Finished season 3 of The L Word, then I took a nap. A glorious nap! Mike and I Skype'd for a bit and then went to sleep. But not before he could tell me the bad news. Seems like my excitement for FEMA to "right a wrong" was a bit premature and they have denied us assistance, yet again. I cried for a while (for a whilllleee) and then I tried to go to sleep. It's just a scary situation to be in. So rather than worry myself too terribly much, I took some of what I have for my NYC Fund and transferred it over to my savings immediately. That means I'll be living on very little in NYC but at the same time, maybe it's a life lesson I need, ya know? It WILL work out. It has to. It always does. This will test my ability to really pinch pennies and make the most of what I've got. Mike also transferred over the same amount as I did and we're going to just start really watching every penny. I've been doing really well thus far... not spending extravagantly or anything (obviously, since we just paid off the couch and Georgia's surgery) but I'm not a person who likes to be in debt. I don't have a penny against my name and I don't intend on starting now. I have credit cards, but the balances are all at $0.00 and if my mom taught me one thing, it's "DONT RUIN YOUR CREDIT!" haha I'm proud of the fact I haven't let credit cards take over my life, but I suppose I'm only 22 so there's still time. Must keep on top of it!
I'm very bummed out that FEMA continues to overlook us, while TWO of our roommates received aid. They had told Mike we were seriously overlooked so they would try and fix the situation. The case worker went over our application and apparently the first roommate that applied must have claimed some of the same things (being they had pots and pans in the kitchen so they claimed the kitchen, but all the appliances and 90% of the dishes in there were mine) so we were denied. It's unfortunate but rather than dwell on disaster, Mike and I just need to pick up where they left off and try to make the best of it. It's teaching us that: 1) Life isn't always fair. 2) The only place to go from the bottom is up! 3) To live in a way that we can afford. As much as I may feel that this is a curse, I also feel that it is a blessing. Rather than being handed a large sum of money to "make our worries disappear," we're having to push through it together and really tackle the situation. This will prove incredibly rewarding in the future. I have faith that everything will be just fine.
With that being said, I scoured the internet looking for apartments yesterday. Much to my dismay, no one wants to give us a 5 month lease. Obviously. And if they did, our rent would be so high for the two of us, it wouldn't be worth it. Plus the several hundred dollars for Georgia's pet fee. This morning I started looking on Craigslist for rooms for rent, etc. Thinking this may be a better bet since we'll have a dog, need to have a short-term lease, and we have no furniture. We found a really really nice house in Spring Hill (about 15 minutes from my school) and Mike is going to look at it tonight. We don't know the size of the room available but it's a darling house with a pool, etc. Not that that really matters to us but the price is nice and he's willing to let us leave in mid-to-late December. Things will work out.
I just got home from a quick trip to KMart at Astor Place. I picked up a few odds and ends and I'm going to start writing back my penpals today. I received a lovely letter from Tamara all the way from Germany! That's 3 Germany things this week! Apparently we're loved over there! (I love Germany, too! Such a gorgeous place to visit!). If you're expecting a return letter/package from me, it will be sent later next weekend. Mike gets into town on Thursday and we're going to scour the city for great little odds and ends to put in the packages and what not! I like to make one big ol trip to the post office!
Also, I have a couple SMALL ads available still for the month of July! Just $15 for the entire month. If you'd rather have a large ad, shoot me an email and let's talk!
Here are a few screenshots of Georgia being adorable the other night on Skype! She kept stepping all over Mike to try and get to the computer. It was the sweetest thing in the world. I miss her so much!

A Mid-Day Post

(I feel like this little girl right now.)
A Mid-Day, Mid-Week post from yours truly. How out of character! I'm sitting at my desk at work (BUST) and I just finished editing a batch of photo and illustrations by non other than that amazingly talented MIKE PERRY. It's silly how tedious and mundane a simple task such as resizing and changing color modes can seem, but when you're working with some of the most fantastic illustrations, you really just don't seem to mind. My computer gave me the lovely Beach Ball O' Doom for most of the time, but seeing how effortless he makes it look (but knowing that it's far from), is just inspiring. Erin and I had a little chat about that. I went on to play around in Photoshop for a bit for a slightly-in-the-style-of-mike-perry album art for a fun little mid-week surprise coming up! Erin also sent me a super cute typeface to go along so while I'm sans-project I'm just trying to be productive.
I didn't have a legit update last night because I wasn't feeling my best after work. I watched a bit of Little Rascals and went to sleep. I'm happy to report I'm feeling much much better today. Aside from a very annoying contact lens.
Also, today I received AMAZING news from Mike. Apparently his FEMA inspector (from last month) received much scrutiny on his end and almost all of his "clients" appealed their rulings due to not receiving enough aid. Basically, the gist was that Mike and I filed separately because we're not married... however, his inspector overruled my inspector and basically put that ALL FIVE OF US LIVED IN ONE ROOM! Plus, with another roommate filing and not telling us what she claimed etc, I was then found ineligible for assistance. A big blow to my already sinking ship of excitement. So much went wrong with our FEMA deal and it's like an amazing answer to so many prayers and Mike had a re-inspection of our house this morning at 10:30am in Franklin. The new inspector took note of everything his old inspector didn't. (Basically ALL of our furniture, our clothing, etc etc etc). All of this came out of nowhere. Like an absolutely totally mind-blowing miracle. I'm living fine in New York City, but at the same time I'm constantly worried about when I go back to Nashville because we basically have to find a place to live within 4-7 days because I get home RIGHT as my last semester of school starts. And with so many people being displaced thanks to the same flood that threw us out, it's hard to say if there will be any apartments available. Not only that, but we're only wanting to stay in Franklin for roughly 4 or 5 months. I graduate the first week of December, and to be quite honest, I'd like to leave then (mainly because Franklin is a very very expensive town). So you can imagine my frustration and my absolute fear about returning home at the end of summer because moving into our own place alone is going to have an astronomical price tag associated with it. Deposits, applications, renters insurance, setting up all of our utilities, etc. Not to mention we don't even own a single piece of furniture (except the sort-of-salvaged couch). Gah!
So anyway, enough rambling. The guy told Mike that we should be receiving some federal aid and I'm at that point to where I could just cry. It honestly could not have come at a better time and I'm so so so grateful of this amazing-perfect-fantastic happening, and the fact all of you have been SO supportive throughout this whole thing. We don't know how much (if even much at all) we'll be awarded, but at this point, anything is better than nothing, right? I'm just grateful that a wrong was righted and we can hopefully move on from this with the least bitter attitude possible (although there's still that one thing... but at this point too, I can't be bothered with childish behavior).
I just had to share the fantastic news. I feel like I've been lifted from my rut (as I've felt sick the past day) and hopefully this can put a little bit of pep in my step and we can start looking for a new home in Franklin.
I'm putting together a few things to be posted over the next few days, and this weekend there will even be a giveaway from a sponsor. Keep your eyes peeled! And above all, have a fantastic Wednesday (even if you're just working for the weekend!).
xoxo

Here's to Tuesday!
Yesterday was a surprisingly fun day. It included a bar uptown (but I didn't drink), a trip to the Lower East Side to check out Invisible NYC's tattoo shop (and make an appointment for a consultation with Kiku), a cute little coffee shop for coffee with soy at CAKESHOP, and a little bit of window-shopping in SoHo. The day seemed to end all too soon but I had a yummy veggie burger for dinner and then met Liz downstairs to go to the gym just after 8pm. We had a great workout. Over an hour of cardio and I was sweating through my shirt. That's what I like! The night was finished with the end of Weeds season 3 and Skype'n with Mike (and my parents made an appearance, too).
What I wore yesterday (Eerily reminiscent of Saturday's outfit, I know... but with bike shorts!)

{Outfit Details o6.16.1o}
{Dress: Forever 21 $25}
{Bicycle Shorts: H&M $6}
{Flats: KMart $13}
This morning I woke up (reluctantly) and got ready for work. My usual banana and vegan frap for breakfast, I was on the move. Today I sent more emails, made more phone calls, and got less-than-pleasing emails in return. But, I was also given the task of designing not only the 2-sided postcard for BUST's London Craftacular, but also the poster. I spent the entire day doing just that. Boy oh boy! I'm very pleased with it and once all of the logos and finishing touches are added, I'll try to post it. :)
I'm just hanging out at the apartment right now. I'm sure the gym will be in my future this evening. I had other plans as well but they will be better saved for another night.
I really wish I had a better way to post outfit photos. I'm much too shy to take them outside with the millions of people passing by. I wish I would've brought my tripod! Anywhoo, sorry again for the craptastic quality.
Today I wore:

{Outfit Details o6.16.1o}
{Dress: Charlotte Russe $25}
{Tights: Courtesy of We Love Colors}
{Flats: KMart $13}
I started seeing/feeling a difference in my body today. Finally. A dress that was a bit tight on me a week and a half ago is actually incredibly loose now. Granted all that much couldn't have happened in just 10 days but I'm happy to report that I'm feeling better than ever. It's things like this that make me want to work out twice as hard so I can see results twice as fast, but I just hope I can keep a steady momentum.
Anywhoo, I guess that's all the post for now!
xoxo

PS; I just wanted to thank ASHLEY of Under The Neon Lights and JACK of DogTagArt.com for the little fundraiser they did for Georgia. Ashley collected $56 from sales of her tags and Jack matched the earnings for a total of $112! That's so incredible! Between that and my few hundred dollar sales via my Etsy, I just subtracted the rest from my NYC-Living-Expense-Fund and if all goes as planned, Georgia will hopefully be having her eye surgery next week (or the next two weeks at the very most)! I'd rather live on a much stricter budget knowing that Baby G is going to be feeling 100% again! I know she's going to be so thrilled to have the pesky entropions fixed and not scratching at her eyes anymore. The third round of cherry eye has also gotten rather out of hand. Luckily the vet said he could operate on it at the same time. Hallelujah! I could never thank each and every one of you who helped Georgia through this enough. Honestly! I wish I could be there with her for the surgery, but I know she's in good hands with Mike and my parents.
Saturday's Recap
I had decided yesterday, after my last long entry, that it would just be a chill, relaxing day for me. I had a lot to accomplish (etsy orders and what not) and I needed to stick to my guns about powering down at the apartment and being productive. Well.... as per usual, that didn't exactly happen.
We'll start with my outfit... just for good measure. (at least these iPhone-in-mirror shots have good lighting! ha)

{Outfit Details o6.12.1o}
{Dress: Forever 21 $30}
{Tights: 2 pairs, WalMart $12}
{Flats: KMart $13}
(you'll probably notice the trend of the same kinda tights and flats throughout the summer. I only brought two pairs of shoes with me to NYC. One pair of flats, and one pair of sandals. Granted I have my flip flops and running shoes too but still.)
I ventured out to go to Starbucks, and across the street was the Big Apple BBQ and Beerfest Block Party (say that five times fast!). I wandered over, camera in tow, and thought about capturing the event. It was packed! Low and behold, my camera was dead. Cool. Now I've gotta lug that thing around all day! Well I hopped on the subway and went to Herald Square for a bit and poked around some shops. I love shopping, but I really love shopping by myself. Call me crazy, but I hate when I'm too fast or too slow for the person I'm with. Usually in stores like Forever 21 and such, you really have to dig deep for awesome stuff. So I hate feeling rushed. Thus, I typically opt to go solo, unless of course it's Mike, who is just along for the ride and never complains. Anywhoo, I went in a few stores, tried a few things on, and left with only two dresses and one oversized shirt (all on super markdown! which is good because I'm being financially responsible).
(I take photos of almost everything I try on in the fitting room just in case I can't decide. I send the photos to my friends and Mike, etc, to get their opinion. Silly, I know. but when you shop solo, you can't really depend on the fitting room attendant's opinion. always biased!)

I tried on this dress in Charlotte Russe at the Manhattan Mall. I liked the detail at the bust but it looked too much like something I already own and this was the lesser flattering of the two. But it's still a cute dress. It'd look nice paired over a frilly white top. Or even light pink!

This dress was Charlotte Ronson for JCPenny, downstairs in the mall. It was marked 30% off! I wasn't totally sure about it, because the print and such is a bit young for what I think I would wear (and that's saying a lot because I like bows in my hair haha) but Mike loved it so I snatched it up since it was so cheap.

This oversized shirt was at H&M and I wasn't sure about it on the rack so I gave it a shot. Then I fell in love. It probably looks frumpy as crap on me and I can't raise my arms without it coming up real high, but I wear a long tank under everything so it covers it all :P But paired with my large gold anchor necklace, I'm loving the nautical theme.

This is an awful photo of this dress, but it was ivory lace and how can I say no to that?! It fit like a glove and I'm hoping I can come up with some brilliant ways to style it. It's a bit hum-drum as is, but I think it could be awesome.
Finally at about 7:30pm I realized I hadn't eaten yet... at all. The single Diet Coke and Frappaccino left my head in a dizzy from too much caffeine and too litte nourishment. I decided to trek to Times Square to get some yummy Italian, then realized that was such a bad idea on a Saturday. Still, I got my food, headed home and crashed upon arrival at 8:30pm. So much for a productive day home. I watched too many episodes of Weeds and I Skype'd with Mike for almost an hour and a half. I have several adorable screenshots of that.

Phew. I finally fell asleep at 4am and I was out like a light. The rest is history. Today is Sunday and I've got lots to do!
xoxo

PS; If you wanted to get together and hang out or whatevz while I'm in NYC, shoot me another email! Let me know when you're free :D I received several emails back in ~the day but I don't know who was 100% serious about hanging. :)
The Past Two Days...
I feel like I should update about Thursday and Friday before they escape me.
Thursday: I woke up and went to work for the day. Upon arriving I was told by Erin that I would have the task of going around to different stores and finding the clothing that would be shot for the Fall Fashion Preview. This means locating a denim button-up shirt, an AA rosette top and a leather backpack. I went EVERYWHERE! I was sweating up a storm and running around in two pairs of tights (so hot!) AND a cardigan. I went to so many stores and had little luck (the AA top was easy, obviously). The denim shirt was a little more complicated. I finally found one on sale at H&M (I even bought one for myself) and I hoped that it would do the trick. After about 2 or 3 solid hours of running around the city (and at least 5 miles behind me), I took the items back to the office and sat down to scour the internet for a leather backpack. Why doesn't anyone have leather backpacks?! I finally found one we liked at TopShop, so I ventured down to SoHo to get it (after calling to check inventory, and being told they had several), and they didnt have it. They had never seen it. What the heck?! So I got a pleather one in the meantime and went back to work. I called TopShop's press and emailed a million people. I'm STILL patiently awaiting their replies. Sheesh! I grabbed lunch (at yummy Cafe 28!) and went at it again. It was an exhausting day. After getting home from work, I sat for about an hour and a half and then Liz and I met downstairs to go to the gym. We worked out for about and hour and we were both beat so we came home. Then I watched some TV, Skype'd with Mike, and slept. Oh boy I slept.
This was my outfit for Thursday: (Again, excuse the crappalicious iPhone-mirror-photos)

{Outift Details o6.1o.1o}
{Dress: Target (I think?) $20}
{Cardigan: Forever 21 $25}
{Brooch: From another Target dress}
{Tights: 2 pairs, Walmart $12}
{Flats: KMart $13}
{Headband: Charlotte Russe $7}
And my lunch on Wednesday from Cafe 28 (As if anyone cares to see this haha.. but it was SO GOOD!). Yummy grilled zucchini, squash and red peppers, pasta salad, asparagus and string beans.

Friday: More of the same... waking up, Skype'n with Mike, going to work with my vegan frap, and more calling and emailing publicists to send me photos and things of that nature. Then I got the fun task of making clipping paths of products for a page... I had to clip a trench coat, some shoes and a necklace... and by clip I mean trace it in Photoshop with the pen tool! Around every individual chain of that necklace! The necklace alone probably took me two hours, but I didn't mind it. I actually think things like that are fun haha Then Erin let me play around with the layout of the page and do what I wanted. I think it looks rad but then again I'm neither the Senior Designer, nor the Creative Director so we'll see! After work I came home with an itching to go the gym, but I decided instead of killing myself (I was still so sore), I'd get dressed and go down to SoHo, walk around, go in TopShop, and then back up to Union Square. I needed to go grocery shopping anyway and I still feel like I didn't get anything. I later Skype'd with Mike for a bit and watched several episodes of Weeds before passing out after 3am.
Here is my outfit and such for yesterday. I changed twice. I wore the polka-dot outfit to work and then the black outfit to SoHo.
I wish I had a better picture of this. Eep!

{Outfit Details o6.11.1o}
{Dress & Belt: H&M $35}
{Tights: 2 pairs, Walmart $12}
{Flats: KMart $13}
And my SoHo outfit (excuse the INSANELY gross hair haha) I also wore my belt both ways (Forward and backward) and I pulled my bangs up at the end of the night because they were frustrating and curling:

{Outfit Details o6.11.1o}
{Dress: Forever 21 (I think) $30}
{Tights: 2 pair, Walmart $12}
{Flats: KMart $12}
{Belt: From another dress}
{Lace Jacket: H&M $50}
{~Chanel Bag: ~Canal St haha}
At this point I wish I could justify buying another legit Chanel bag but after parting with my own, I know it's just not the right thing to do. Way too expensive and with the whole living in NYC - losing our house and all of our belongings - Georgia having double entropion eye surgery along with her third cherry eye corrective surgery AND having to find a place to live once I go back to Nashville, it's just not the right time. Sigh, one day maybe! Until then, my cheap little Canal St knockoff will do. And by "until then" I mean until it falls apart haha
I also received two pairs of tights in the mail from We Love Colors this week! I'm so very excited to be doing a review for them so be on the lookout for that! Gorgeous dark red and navy tights! I'm just loving this nautical theme!

Today: I woke up at a crazy 12 o'clock! I haven't slept that late in goodness knows when! Holy cow! It felt so good to just let myself sleep in. My body needed it. I was invited to the Brooklyn Flea Market today by the lovely Kim and Keiko Lynn. But of course here I am, still sitting in my jammies and a towel on my head. It's nearly 2pm! I need to get my butt in gear. It looks like it may rain, too. As much as it would waste my day, I'm contemplating seriously staying in my apartment all day and doing nothing. Maybe watching Weeds. I just feel like I need a break! I've been go go going the whole time I've been here. I should go to the gym, too. But of course, I'm having a Diet Coke for breakfast and I'm already getting a massive headache. Maybe I'll feel less in-a-funk if I dry my hair and get dressed. Motivation, people!
I'm going to go see where things take me. If I venture out, I'll try to snap some legit photos, because the bloggy blog has been lacking in those. The iPhone just ain't cuttin it! Until next time,
xoxo

PS; I'll leave you with this adorable photo of Mike and Baby G last night from Skype! I love talking to Georgia on Skype because she does this silly head-turn of hers and it makes me smile and breaks my heart all at the same time. I started crying last night because I feel like Georgia doesn't know that I'm coming home for her soon. I've only been gone a week and the fact I still have 7 weeks to go is awful. I miss her so much. At least Mike understands that I'm not leaving forever. I'm just afraid that Georgia doesn't. Mom has even said she's been quite lethargic and sad lately (not that that couldn't be mistaken from her typical laziness, but you get the idea haha)
