Last week I wrote about heading to Hendersonville for the Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse grand opening with Mike. Well, Thursday morning came and poor Mike was tuckered out and a little bit sick, not to mention he had mounds of homework he needed to finish. I told him not to fret, stay home and do everything he needed and I'd go up solo. Since we're such good friends with our neighbors I shot Amy a text at like 9am and by 9:30 or so we were on the road! We decided to make it a girls' day since all the kids were in school. A girls' day is exactly what I needed!
We started our day at the shiny new OBSW in Merchant Pointe. Since all shoes were Buy One, Get One Half Off we decided to each pick up a pair for ourselves. Clearly I was very very excited about the women’s sandals. I ended up with these super cute caramel colored Steve Madden sandals, and Amy ended up with some comfy black wedges. Best part about going to a brand new store? They have every size in stock haha! That place is huge too! Seriously, shoes wall to wall. Everything from running shoes to stilettos, gladiator sandals, boots, you name it. The gals working the store that day were so sweet, too. I didn't realize the building that OBSW is in also housed the new Fresh Market, Michaels, Five Below, Carters, etc. Needless to say if I lived in Hendersonville I'd likely spend entirely too much time over there.
Goodwill is next door to the strip that OBSW is in, so Amy and I decided to make that our second stop for the day. I love going into any and every Goodwill and beelining to the "furniture" section. I'm always hopeful I'll find something awesome to restyle or something. And I did! I found Linden a little table and 2 chair set for only $10. I found Toby some super cute jerseys that he's so tickled about.
After our Goodwill jaunt we headed south and stopped for some Mexican food at Las Palmas. It was a much needed refueling for us since we had been two gals on a mission all day. Once we got back home to our houses full of kiddos, Doug (Amy's husband), started a bonfire for us all to enjoy. Um, can you say perfect day?! Now I just need the sunshine to come back full force and everything will be awesome.
We had a bit of a cold snap this weekend so I hadn't been able to wear my new sandals yet, but I broke them out yesterday and loved the fit and look of them. I can already tell they're going to be a spring and summer staple. Seriously though, if you're in/around Hendersonville, drop by the new Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse at Merchant Pointe because it's overflowing with cute things I want to wear on my feet haha! How cute are those Steve Madden flats, too?!
And because I think y'all are the cat's pajamas, here's a giveaway for TWO $100 Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse gift cards. Just follow the prompts below to be entered to win! Good luck!
