"There is this certain assumption that when a man tells the truth, it’s the truth.  And when, as a woman, I go to tell the truth, I feel like I have to negotiate the way i’ll be perceived.  Like, I feel like there’s always this suspicion around a woman’s truth; the idea that you’re exaggerating." - Kathleen Hanna

  2. I am in love with the shark story. It warms my heart to know that there are people out there trying to save these amazing creature. It suck that Australia is still culling despite so many people against it but at least we have some people on our side.

  6. Given that I'm Scottish, I wasn't aware of the comments made by Phyllis Schlafly, but having read them now and Madison Kimrey's response,I am blown away! What a wise young woman, she summed up feminism in a more eloquent way than I ever could! I have shared this with all of my friends now!

  9. I never comment on anything, but I just had to this week--this list is perfection! I love snails, sharks and bats, so all of those items warmed my heart (although it's horrifying the Western Australia culling program is still happening). And that 12YO is my new hero.
