Here's another Bernie Dexter dress from ModCloth! This one has loads of pink elephants lounging in margarita glasses, stolled about wine, and juggling drinks. Can't go wrong with that, right?! I got so many compliments on this dress while wearing it. It's nice that other people appreciate silly novelty prints. Nothing fancy here otherwise. Just a cardigan and flats, as usual. And a really pretty field off of the side of the road haha I'm a bit embarrassed about my hair but sometimes you gotta just go with it. Gross, frizzy mess and all! While we were out and about on our Florence travels we found a turquoise 1955 Imperial for sale. Ugh! Be still my heart! It could have used some TLC on the inside, but boy oh boy, that would've been a fun pet project don't you think?! I'd kill to have an old car! Cruising around in a sweet ol' '55 while wearing a pink elephant dress?! Sign me up!
Yesterday was such a productive day! So much design work booked and done, new sponsors brought on board, emails answered, tee ball practice attended, furniture stained, and pot roast cooked. I wish I every day could be as productive as my Monday was! Today we're eyeball deep in Kaelah's Closet orders! We've packed them up and are shipping them out! If you want to snag one of the last remaining items, feel free to take 10% off with the code springclean. Get that stuff gone!
Mike is going to work on writing a DIY post for the custom bar he built for our living room, too! He whipped up a homemade wood stain and it's so so pretty! Doesn't hurt that the stain was 100% free to make. I'll be sure to share all of that once we get the post up.
I totally dropped the ball on March's mixtape... whoops! That's not a good way to start a feature, right? I'll be making a Spring-themed mixtape for March/April to make up for it though! This week I plan on knocking out as much of my design projects as I can, all the while preparing for Toby's first teeball game on Saturday, as well as my birthday party that night. Several of my favorite Nashville ladies will be making the drive down for the slumber party madness. No telling what we'll get into, but I'm excited!
Totally off topic but does anyone else out there watch Shameless? Sunday's episode has me so so ramped up for this week's finale! Ugh, I don't want it to be over! We love that show! We'll have to find something new to occupy our tv time I guess... or maybe we'll boycott tv since the weather is about to break... I won't hold my breath haha

I never thought I needed a dress with pink elephants on until now!
ReplyDeleteWe have a series called Shameless here but I'm not sure if it's the same one- It centres around the Gallagher family in Manchester.

They remade the series for American tv, just like they did for The Office and Men Behaving Badly. I love the UK Shameless to bits and pieces, haven't seen the USA one though. I'm a bit scared to incase they butchered my beloved show! I grew up in the same suburb they filmed the first few series of the UK show in so it's all a bit nostalgic for me (which is easy when you've moved AWAY from a place like that.lol)
DeleteYeah it's a remake for US tv. I watched the first episode or two of the UK version and I didn't like it! But I think that was because I am so attached to the US characters. the US version is SO SO good! It's based in Chicago, also around the Gallaghers :)
DeleteYou look great with that dress.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this dress!!!!! And you!! I also live in dresses, cardis and flats. Like, why wouldn't you? So comfy, so CUTE!
ReplyDeleteHaha this dress is so silly! You definitely need that car to go with this dress. I can't imagine anything more perfect for you.

ReplyDeleteThe print on that dress is amazing - who could stop themselves complimenting it? The length looks really good on you too. I've only ever watched the UK version of Shameless, although I heard they were doing a US one xo

I just bought that dress and it arrived a couple days ago. It's the cutest print ever! I wasn't sure what shoes to wear with it, but gold flats are a great idea. It looks fantastic!

That is such a rare print. Seems a bit Dumbo inspired, but less creepy!

Adoring this dress. The elephant print is cute and fun (and reminds me of that sequence in the film Dumbo called "Pink Elephants on Parade"), but what really makes this dress so absolutely stunning to me is how it fits you. The cut is just fabulous and makes you look like a million bucks!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, you look lovely!!!

Love the dress! Elephants are my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteAre you watching the American version of Shameless? I love the English version. There are few shows that were originally English and re-made in America and even though I'm American (living in England) they're just not the same. The Brits have a very odd and specific sense of humor.
Watch Breaking Bad, Psych, Walking Dead, Sons Of Anarchy, RuPaul's Drag Race and your schedule will be packed with amazing shows besides Shameless.
ReplyDeleteAND OMG THE END the other day, say what?!?!?!
What a pretty dress! I'm a sucker for rockabilly styles with novelty prints! My cousin Molly makes custom dresses and I have several of hers. Oh be still my heart! By far some of the prettiest, best quality dresses I own. <3
ReplyDeleteAnd that car sounds amazing! I have a deep rooted love for classic cars - especially late-50's, early-60's ones. I'm going to be saving up for a pickup truck this year and I'm really hoping I can get a 1968 Ford F100. So gorgeous!!
I love this dress!! So cute!!
