Oh my goodness this is genius! What a great way to play with color and the pink wig looks completely natural! (well as natural as cotton candy can look...)
That is sooo cool! It does not look like a wig on you at all. I just checked out her shop and she does some amazing wigs. I love the watermelon one. What a great way to try out different hair colours! I know my work would flip if I dyed my hair pink but this way it could just be for weekends. Can you style them? Like would you be able to curl yours?
i can't believe it's a wig. i came across her etsy while you were talking about wanting pink hair and thought they were remarkable and beautiful. she's so good and cute :)
Waoh great review!! i really wanr one now! haha! plus, for france, the shipping isn't that expensive.. so great! but i can't choose a color now! i wonder wich one could fit me, i want all of them haha!!
I just, on Friday, dyed my hair a kind of indigo colour, I wanted it to be a really deep bold blue, but apparently they fade too quickly so I had to go with the purple. Looks like this might be the perfect solution to having properly blue hair, and having it long, for a change.
I can't wait for the give away. I kind of thought it was a wig because I didn't think you'd give up your red hair, but the fact that it looks so natural made me think twice about it.
I can't believe that's a wig! I genuinely thought you'd dyed your hair. It looks so cool and really suits you. Flo x http://florencekatharine.blogspot.com
one of the best wigs ive seen! I was actually thinking yesterday how did she manage to strip the red down so much to get such a nice blonde base for the candy pink...hehe now I guess I know :)
Your review convienced me into getting a wig from MissVioletLace! I love her stuff. There's so many amazing options. The pink hair looks amazing on you. I think the idea of getting wigs to change up your style is great. You won't have to deal with that fading effect of dye. Since outrageous colours seem to fade so fast.
I hadn't seen the post before this as I was scrolling through your latest posts, so when I saw this video I literally did a double take and my jaw dropped.
It looks SO realistic (I thought you had deliberately dyed some patches of it a darker pink) and you really did a great job of selling the concept of a wig... I had never thought of it as an option before but it sounds like soo much fun!
I love it! I totally want a wig now! I wanted to dye my hair a bright red // pink color before but I was scared it would destroy my hair. I'm so in love with this wig you are wearing in the video! It looks so amazing on you!
It's so nice to hear your voice! I'm definitely saving Miss Violet Lace to my favorite Etsy shops because I still have hair colors I want to try! Thanks for being honest and awesome!
it's really cute and pretty that you can have the pink whenever you really want it hehehehe!! great to hear your voice! My husband's one aunt always wore various wigs for fun since she was in high school. I bought a wig once that was black and blue on the bottom (like your pink with black) but I don't think I do wigs well. . . probably because my hair is so thick and I have a lot of it. oh well.
you did a great job with how you decided to have your pink hair rather than dying it. probably better off because you'd have to bleach it a million times and then work hard at getting the right shade.
ah! This wig is so fabulous. I've written about wigs quite a bit over the years, as they're a HUGE part of New Orleans culture in so many ways... but have been super disappointed to find my favorite local shop's quality isn't just up to my standards anymore.
I've fallen in love with quite a few pieces on her shop, so look forward to picking some up!

ReplyDeleteI shaved my hair off in 2009 for Breast Cancer Care and wore a pink wig for a good year and a half. Wigs are the way forward!
