I'm having some technical difficulties with my computer. I'm really trying to chalk it up to Mercury Retrograde but I'm honestly not too sure. My computer is a beast... or at least it should be. With 4 gigs of RAM, a hefty harddrive and some serious MacBook Pro power, you think I could surf the web without any prolems. But no. My browser lags and freezes, giving me the 'Spinny Ball Of Doom' almost like clockwork... every 30 seconds. This obviously had a huge impact on my productivity and it frustrates me to no end. I honestly hate Firefox and Safari, and I swear by Chrome, but I don't know if Chrome is the reason for my problems. I should probably explore further before heading over to the Apple Genius Bar, but at this point I'm ready to just catapult the computer from a downtown parking garage. (That's a little bit of an exaggeration. But really. Computer problems are like car problems... they just suck.)
Mike and I have been brainstorming the past few days and I can honestly say that I'm very excited about projects that lie ahead of me. Some things had to be moved around and some bummer things came up (more on that later), but I can without doubt say that I'm looking forward to our little future and some projects I'm hoping to share on the blog soon!
This outfit was just something I threw on for a short time yesterday. I've only worn this dress once and I've had it for years. I bought it at a little boutique on Haight Street in San Francisco back in the day and I just never really wore it much. I've decided to sell it on Kaelah's Closet so click HERE if you'd like to see the specs and buy it up for yourself! It's a great dress but wearing it once in a few years is kind of sad. (I'm going through my closet slowly but surely and I'm deciding what to sell based on how much I like the outfit photos. Follow Kaelah's Closet if you wanna stay up to date!)
This headband is my new little diddy that I've been making. I've made a few different variations in color, fabric, size and the like. There will be a bridal section and just a regular every day section. I had every intention of leaving Etsy (and still plan to soon) but again, I'll post more on that later when I have all of my ducks in a row. It's a busy time right now and I'm trying to find the time (and energy, with all of these computer problems) to respond to emails! xo

very cute dress! i think that is the first time i have seen your ears - i didn't know you had them gauged out. how long did that take? just curious! :) off to follow kaelah's closet! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely head on down to the Genius Bar! They're awesome. (Okay, I may be biased. My husband's a Genius.) Either way, *usually* computer problems are less expensive than car problems. (;
I can't stand Chrome. I've tried to use it plenty of times but sometimes it REFUSES to load pages. I'm not a huge fan of Safari but that's what I'm using right now. I wish there was a happy medium when it comes to browsers, but yeah it might just be chrome that's causing you problems. =/
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in that first picture! I love you as a brunette!
ReplyDelete<3
Stripes are my favorite. You rock them very well! Adorable <3

ReplyDeletegood luck on your coming projects!

My guess is that you have a program running and using up all of your ram and you just don't know it. You should check your Activity Monitor and see what is using the most percent. I just had the same issue with my Macbook Pro and it was because every time I started my laptop this program began and used up ALL of the power my computer had. You can probably fix it by 1. Running an update on all of your software or 2. Finding and removing whatever program is eating away at your CPU.
ReplyDeleteI refer to that as the "Pinwheel of Doom" because it reminds me of a spinning pinwheel... but less optimistic. I have a MacBook Pro as well and often have internet problems, but I believe that's because I live in the boonies. And our internet generally sucks (as in, sometimes I can't even get it to work with my iPhone, either).
ReplyDeleteThat dress is adorable! You have the model poses down! I bet you could make a burlap sack look fabulous. Seriously. (This is not implying that the dress is like a burlap sack... this is meant to say that your mad posing skills amp up the cute factor in basically everything.)
Gorgeous. You look so pretty. I love how you style your hair, it always looks so amazing. I hope your computer starts being nicer to you!!
ReplyDeleteOoh I really love that dress! So pretty. :] I agree with Marizabeth, you have them model poses down for sure! :D

ReplyDeleteAnd sorry about your computer issues. I know that nothing can be more frustrating sometimes.
I happily don't have any issues currently on my little linux running netbook.
