I couldn't be more of an Easter egg if I tried. This was my Easter outfit and also what I wore yesterday to Toby's baseball game. I picked up the dress at Maurice's a couple of weeks ago when Christina was in town, and the cardigan is a recent Forever 21 grab. It's worth noting that both of these pieces run extremely large for what their tag says, but another dress from the same store and in the same size (to be published later this week) actually ran small. One of the very reasons I don't shop online all that often haha But with that being said, both dresses are adorable and I know they'll be Spring staples. Especially this dress. I love the watercolor print on it paired with the belt and cardigan. It may seem like way too much turquoise going on, but I'm a fan. It was exceptionally windy yesterday so it's a good thing I was wearing running shorts underneath it.
Toby did so well at his second game yesterday. We need to work on his swing a bit more but he's fielding grounders and has a pretty solid arm. Seeing him in the dugout goofing off with the other little boys and girls on his team just makes my heart swell. I also really love that my parents make it a priority to show up to his games and practices to cheer him on. He has his own little fan section and I think he really likes that. I never thought I'd be that parent with the foldable camping chairs, posted up at the end of the dugout, hollerin' from the sidelines.... but I am. I so am. I kind of wouldn't have it any other way!
Our outdoor renovations are coming along! Mike finished about half of the railing on the front porch yesterday but he's spending today measuring and buying supplies for the storage room he's building his step mom at her new office. I've been scouring decorating books and magazines as of late to compile a "to build" list for our home. I want to design something for each nook and cranny because I feel like the pieces will be that much more special to us if we build them. Not to mention they're cheaper and are actually built to last a really long time haha Too bad Mike can't build a couch! Here recently I've been trying to scour the internet for headboard inspiration so we can finally construct a headboard for our bed. Now that we dont have two big windows right behind our pillows, I want to do something to fill up the wall space. Y'all have any suggestions? We're thinking something rustic, but I'm not sure! So many decisions haha...
Well, happy Wednesday! Here's to hoping your week is going exceptionally well! If you're in need of a little pick-me-up, I just shared a bunch of motivational quotes and positive vibes on my Jux blog!

Wonderful colors, great!♥
ReplyDeletei have that cardigan, and i also found it ran large... but i'm not sure a smaller size would've been big enough. it was odd. i also ordered 2 pairs of jeans from f21, in the same size, that i normally wear. one was perfect, the other was about 2 sizes too small... gotta love inconsistent sizing! :/
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is so lovely! All the pastels are super dreamy. And I'm sure Toby does love it - there's nothing like having your own cheerleaders! :)

ReplyDeletelove the cardigan ♥
I want pretty much every single one of your cardigans. I'm so horribly shy that I wear one (or at least take one) every single place I go. (It's 75 in Memphis right now, I just came inside, and I'm absolutely wearing one.)
ReplyDeleteThat picture of your shins and feet is so pretty! Sick tats bro.

ReplyDeleteMy son just started soccer and my heart swells just thinking about watching him play! I never thought I would be that mom on the sidelines either but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Kids are the best!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and all round lovely outfit :) You look gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteThis dress and the cardigan are just the best!
ReplyDeleteI also never thought I'd be that girl on the sidelines yelling for their little ones.. it's just so rewarding though. It gives them so much more courage and motivation to have someone there.
