“On this day, you read something that moved you and made you realise there were no more fears to fear. No tears to cry. No head to hang in shame. That every time you thought you’d offended someone, it was all just in your head and really, they love you with all their heart and nothing will ever change that. That everyone and everything lives on inside you. That that doesn’t make any of it any less real.
That soft touches will change you and stay with you longer than hard ones.
That being alone means you’re free. That old lovers miss you and new lovers want you and the one you’re with is the one you’re meant to be with. That the tingles running down your arms are angel feathers and they whisper in your ear, constantly, if you choose to hear them. That everything you want to happen, will happen, if you decide you want it enough. That every time you think a sad thought, you can think a happy one instead.
That you control that completely.
That the people who make you laugh are more beautiful than beautiful people. That you laugh more than you cry. That crying is good for you. That the people you hate wish you would stop and you do too.
That your friends are reflections of the best parts of you. That you are more than the sum total of the things you know and how you react to them. That dancing is sometimes more important than listening to the music.
That the most embarrassing, awkward moments of your life are only remembered by you and no one else. That no one judges you when you walk into a room and all they really want to know, is if you’re judging them. That what you make and what you do with your time is more important than you’ll ever fathom and should be treated as such. That the difference between a job and art is passion. That neither defines who you are. That talking to strangers is how you make friends.
That bad days end but a smile can go around the world. That life contradicts itself, constantly. That that’s why it’s worth living.
That the difference between pain and love is time. That love is only as real as you want it to be. That if you feel good, you look good but it doesn’t always work the other way around.
That the sun will rise each day and it’s up to you each day if you match it. That nothing matters up until this point. That what you decide now, in this moment, will change the future. Forever. That rain is beautiful.
And so are you.”

new look around here!

hey y'all! exciting fun times to be had! i'm still a wee bit under the weather, and i skipped out on Print 2 today to be alerted of my awesome "~Sinus Infection"... ladeedahh! but luckily i'm already feeling a bit better so hopefully i'll continue to be on the upswing of things!

i didnt take a lot of time to blog today because between the almost-fever, the feeling like i'm going to die, and the headaches, i've just wanted to rest. but i managed to work on my Print 2 book for 6 hours and take a hot hot bath [Georgia jumped in, too].

i took a little time to work on new blog buttons [3 new designs on the right side!] and a new blog header! please take a minute to change out the blog button if you'd like. i realize they're a little more visually interesting than the horrible hack job i did in flash for the GIF one. i promise to have a new and improve GIF animated banner up shortly!

so yes! please choose one of your liking and let me know how you feel about the new blog banner! i'm going to be doing a whole new CSS layout over the next few weeks and finally phase out what i've got now. i need 2 side panels so it's time to get a crackin!

hope your'e having a great week! we went & stocked up on food as per my mother's request since we're supposed to get "snow and ice" this weekend. bleh, hope i can still make it to work!

Blogging: SRS BUZINESS!

So I've managed to come across a lot of really interesting reads about "bulding a better blog" etc etc. and it's really got me thinking... i want to take it seriously and all that jazz, and its another fun challenge I can add to my ever-growing list (being vegan, no alcohol, yadda yadda yadda). I really enjoy ProBlogger's stuff and I even threw down the $19.95 to download the e-book of his... "31 Days to Build a Better Blog" and i'll just say it was WELLLLLLL worth the money! What an investment! I'm so eager to start implementing everything I've been reading about. I'll really start getting into it once I return to my house from visiting my parents for Christmas. I think anyone who takes their blog even halfway seriously should think about downloading this.

I've become an affiliate for ProBlogger so I can offer you the link to download the entire book for only $19.95. I'm not just promoting it because i'm affiliated with it, i'm promoting it because it's proven success. Even if you don't implement everything in the workbook, it gives you a new way of thinking about online business, etc. This is vital if you're selling anything via the world wide interweird. So all you lovely bloggers should check it out :) Let me know if you decide to buy it! I promise I give it rave reviews.

Just click the button below to buy the e-book :)

kris atomic!

one of my favorite illustrators and photographers has a new fun website! Kris Atomic launched her new site with a horizontal scrollbar which delves into her portfolio of pieces ranging from illustrations to her sketchbook and her photography. normally i'm not a fan of this type of set-up in a website but i think it works for what she's doing. i love the shape and silhouettes of her dear female characters. plus her travels make for wonderful photography! (and the nerd in me wants to tell you to peep on her flash pre-cursor on her images! the little red petals! so perfect for her branding!) enjoy!

interesting reads!

Here lately i've been reading Michelle's blog over at Decline Designs and i have to say, there are some might find reads over that way. Two of them specifically I related to in every shape form & fashion. If you've got a few minutes on hand, click on over to these links and ive them a little look-see!

Tattoo Etiquette: A Public Service Announcement I cannot tell you how many times I've been groped, grabbed, and interrogated by complete strangers. Especially in my line of work at the bar. People feel that it's completely and totally acceptable to just grab my arm in the checkout line of the grocery store and investigate my sleeve for themselves. Some proceed to question every little detail, criticize and go as far as to say "You're too pretty for that mess"... Every single instance leaves me livid. I don't so much mind people asking questions about my tattoos... I'm more than happy to share with you their meanings, even if they are cheesy. However, just know that I did not get tattooed FOR YOU... it was something i did for MYSELF. anyway, GOOD READ! :D she says just about everything I want to.

You'd Be So Pretty If... same idea as the above, but broader. also a good read.
