February Giveaway: Oktomat 8-lens Camera! -- CLOSED!

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED!

I loved the response of last month's giveaway and if there's one thing that Mike and I love, it's cameras! We wanted to keep the ball rolling with Lomography goodies because as you could see from our photos the other day, we have so so many that we love and use constantly! I first purchased our Oktomat a few years ago and quickly lost interest in it. I'm not sure why, but I think it had to do with the fact I hate to read instructions and I'm very impatient. It didn't take too terribly long for me to pick it back up though! Mike has loved it but we often misplace it! Whoops! I love that you can take 8 pictures in one! The Oktomat uses it's 8 lenses to capture 8 images in 2.5 seconds! They can be so fun!

Holga 135BC Photos

Here are some photos we just had developed from our Holga 135BC camera the other day! They're from October when we went to Louisville to meet up with Susannah and Chris, and also from our roadtrip later that month to Wilmington, NC! There are also a couple at the end from around Franklin and Spring Hill. Here's a little spoiler for upcoming travels: combine two of my favorite "things" and it's going to make for the most epic roadtrip come the first of March! I'm giddy just thinking about it! All of these photos were shot on 200 speed Kodak Color Negative film. I love the heavy vignette that the Holga gives the photos! We're entertaining the thought of buying one to give away on the blog soon! We keep racking our brain for fun giveaways each month but our minds always go straight to Lomography cameras! What's your take? Yay/Nay? Would you like to win a couple cameras? Eh?

Enjoy the photos!

Lots has been going on over here! Busy busy bee. Planning, designing, packing, budgeting, etc! I promise to be back with an exciting update before too long! xo

Diana Mini Photos

Here are some images from a roll of film we shot the other day on our new Diana Mini. The sky was super overcast and dreary, and I think they made for some brilliant photos! Isn't the bright contrast of the Hobby Lobby building great?! I love how a single roll of film in the same camera can create such drastic difference in pictures! I had to throw in Georgia and Pipkin's "herp derp" faces, too! Wouldn't be a complete post without them!

Don't forget you can enter to win a Diana Mini by clicking here! You have until the end of the month to enter, but why wait?!

January Giveaway: Win a Diana Mini Camera! -- CLOSED!

I am so excited to be kicking off 2011 with this new feature! I'm taking a cue from a few fellow bloggers and using some of the sponsor revenue generate by advertising on the blog to purchase awesome gifts for one lucky winner every month! I figured what would be a better way to give back to all of my favorite people than to give you the chance to win some of the neatest things around! Each month will be something new and fun, and this month is something super awesome... a Diana Mini 35mm camera! I'm excited to offer one to y'all because Mike got me one for Christmas, too and I've had so much fun with it! I knew this was something I wanted to do for the new year, and when we snagged a lucky promo code from another Lomo purchase, we went for it! I think the Diana Mini is the perfect way to start it off!

You can check out some of the product specs for the Diana Mini by clicking here on the Lomography site. It's a 35mm camera that can be used for 36 square images or 76 rectangular half frames per roll! As opposed to the typical 27! You can also check out the Flickr pool for Diana Mini photos! Feeling inspired yet?

Throwaway Camera #5 & Split Cam

This first set of photos are from our new Split Cam (via Lomography.com). Some of the shots turned out really really cool. Click HERE to see the rest of the set. They're (almost) all double exposures, so it's been really fun trying out new things to overlay on top of the existing image on the film strip. Trial & Error. The camera itself is only $25, so it's a steal! And you can use any 35mm film, so if you can swing a few bucks, drop by Lomography and pick one up! They're so fun! :D

The rest of these are from a cheapo FujiFilm disposable camera (35mm, 400 speed film, $4 at walmart). You can see the rest of this set HERE.

(I look like THE most unorganized person here... my crafty/art station is a wreck... BUT! I will have it all back to looking pretty the first week school is out (in 2 weeks!) so that I can be super productive before I ship off to NYC :D)
