Happy Monday! We're gearing up for another productive week around here. We're barely a week out from our little road trip to see friends and we're trying to ready the blog, get the house in order, and plan out what we want to see on the road and while in Wilmington. We'll be armed with all of our film gear so if you're in/around Wilmington (or Chattanooga, Atlanta, Augusta, Columbia (SC), Charleston, Savannah (GA), Charlotte, or Asheville...) and you're looking for some snazzy portraits, get in touch! We'll be hopefully passing through each of these cities and we love a good excuse to hang out for a while! Also, if you've got suggestions on places to check out in any of these cities, send us all you know! We've been planning our trip via Roadtrippers and I'm already feeling like we need to make an extra trip to Georgia to check out all of the covered bridges! haha

We're offering both mini and full sessions on our trip, and we've love to share your faces on our blogs. We're hoping we can tack a few extra days onto the tail end of our trip to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary coming up (!!!). It's less than 4 weeks away now. That's insane! It feels like our wedding day was just last week. Speaking of weddings and all that good stuff, aren't Paul and Madison adorable?! We had the honor of shooting their engagement photos and we can't wait for their wedding plans to fall into place. They were so sweet and so awesome to hang out with for the day.

The perfect way to start a Monday... seeing two people totally in love. If you want to see more of our film photo work, check out our Him and Honey website and blog (just disregard the About page... it's on today's to do list)! We've got another session to share with y'all soon! Not to mention the four sessions from this past Saturday! I'm geeking out just thinking about how amazing the photos are going to be. Seriously, we get to photograph some seriously photogenic folks. Anyway, I hope your week is off to a great start! xo

East Bank on Film

These film photos are from the afternoon we spent traipsing around the East side of the river. I've come to realize our kid just might be the cutest kid (I'm biased, I know) and we will never tire of taking pictures of him. He's just so animated and lively. Never a dull moment with that one. Don't you just love his "stick jump"?

I'm off for my bridal makeup trial run! So excited to have Miss Sara doing her stuff!

Film Shots

It's been a while since I've shot (and developed, especially!) any film. I used to take almost a roll a day and get them developed by the handful, but for some reason I've slowly stopped. Disposables will probably always be my favorite. No matter how many big body styles or Lomography cameras we get. Don't get me wrong, each of those are fun for their own reasons, but I love the effortless simplicity of a $4 disposable from the drugstore. I have a pile of them sitting unopened in my craft closet. These were shot on our Nikon F4 over the past several weeks. I kind of like letting a camera sit around for a while before developing it because seeing what is on it can be a surprise.

Today we're supposed to go look at a potential wedding venue, and then tomorrow two more. We're also picking up last minute crafty things for our Christmas gifts. This week is going to be so jam packed with crafting + baking + getting things ready. Wish us luck! xo

Adventures on Film

Just sharing some of our recent adventures as caught on film! I love how perfectly imperfect film photos are. I will always prefer film to digital. I think we just cherish them more. Flaws and all!

Thanks for taking a peek!

PS; Do I like feet pictures enough?!
PPS; These were shot on a jank little disposable! (my favorite!)
