// Instagram Favorites: December

Here is my sixth installation of my monthly Instagram favorites. Each month I choose 5 accounts to highlight and I share a few of their most recent snaps that I've enjoyed. Some are highly curated, some include more "real" moments, and some are just really nice to look at. Hopefully you find a few new favorites to follow! As always, you're welcome to share your favorite accounts, or even links to your own, in the comments below! xo

One word: PINK! I love all the confetti and pink going on in the Bando IG feed. It always looks like a party and I love the Girls Pop-Up they just hosted!

Trisha's feed is always full of fun photography projects that she's working on. She's a photography student by day and it's neat to see what she's getting into.

Brittany's feed is always full of fun #crafttherainbow submissions, and I love seeing what DIY project she's whipping up. Her gift guides are always pretty to look at, too!

Brumley and Wells is a gorgeous feed full of film photography. Mike and I took a short break from shooting since Linden was born, and I can't wait to get back out there in the Spring. My camera needs to be dusted for sure!

Emily's feed is so fun. She's a fellow Nashvillian and I love seeing my former neighborhood through her eyes. She can craft up some incredibly meticulous photos, too! Check out that Fruity Pebbles one! NUTS!

Here is my fifth installation of my monthly Instagram favorites. Each month I choose 5 accounts to highlight and I share a few of their most recent snaps that I've enjoyed. Some are highly curated, some include more "real" moments, and some are just really nice to look at. Hopefully you find a few new favorites to follow! As always, you're welcome to share your favorite accounts, or even links to your own, in the comments below! xo

Anne's feed is always so fun to peruse because she makes some of the most fun things ever. Her little creations are so cute and quirky! I am obsessed with her little cat head planters. I seriously want like seven shelves full of them. Don't even get me started on her little cat cacti haha!

Lara's (or La's!) feed is so pastel and pretty! She bakes, she crafts, and she gardens away in a country town in Scotland. You can always count on seeing something worth smiling about when visiting her account. And she just had a birthday yesterday, too! Happy birthday, lady!

Lydia's feed is often full of her baking creations. More often than not I'm left thinking "Uh, please bring that to my house so I can eat it!" when I scroll through her IG haha! She also seems like she'd be a super sweet gal to hang out with. That's always a plus!

Charlotte's feed is super bright and silly. She's a London based stylist and set designer, and that totally shines through in her photos. I love how she personifies so many inanimate objects. That Boo toast might just be my very favorite. I also want to make some of those painted pinecones for around the house this Autumn!

Viktorija's feed is so nice because she's always sharing bits and bobs that she's created. She makes these super fun shrinky dink brooches (if you're a Wes Anderson fan, rush over to her shop!). I really just enjoy the small peeks into her day.

Here is my fourth installation of my monthly Instagram favorites. Each month I choose 5 accounts to highlight and I share a few of their most recent snaps that I've enjoyed. Some are highly curated, some include more "real" moments, and some are just really nice to look at. Hopefully you find a few new favorites to follow! Shauna's feed is SO dreamy. Not only does she have the cutest family (with baby boy #2 on the way!!!), but she has an incredible sense of style. The photos she posts of her home always have me drooling. She's one-half of the team behind Forage Haberdashery, Seed House Stationers, and Something's Hiding In Here. Crazy talented, right? But even better, she's one of the kindest and most supportive people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Seriously, y'all. This gal is SUCH a gem. We adore her!

Marlyn's feed is just really really sweet. She's a total doll and she's expecting her first little one, too! (You'll notice a trend in my favorites, I'm sure. I'm a sucker for a Mom-stagrammer!) I really love the photos she shares of the California coast.

Beca and Doug post on the Tumbleweeds Instagram and if you don't know them already, you're probably living under a rock. They were the creators of the original wooden veneer sunglasses. They are such hard workers and so so kind. Beca made all of the delicious desserts for our wedding (!!!) and I don't think we could ever possibly thank her enough. There's little this girl can't do!

Honey and Fizz is a new account I've recently started following. I just love all of the "happiness" that is shared on her account! There's so much color and vibrancy. I really, really want that flamingo pool float! I know it's the last day of September and all, but seriously... it's awesome.

Alexis' feed is so cute. She's adorable and I love the photos she shares of her little family. I really dig all of the cool rope wall hangings that she creates! I really want to try my hand at one sometime. I think it'd be super cute in our bedroom! And those pipe vases?! Genius!

Here is my third installation of my monthly Instagram favorites. Each month I choose 5 accounts to highlight and I share a few of their most recent snaps that I've enjoyed. Some are highly curated, some include more "real" moments, and some are just really nice to look at. Hopefully you find a few new favorites to follow! As always, you're welcome to share your favorite accounts, or even links to your own, in the comments below! xo

Laura's feed is full of her wedding stationery works and gorgeous penmanship. A quick glance at her Instagram and you'll see exactly why I enjoy it so much. The color palette is absolutely stunning! I really love the top two photos.

Billy's feed is gorgeous. It's dark and moody, but also light and sweet at the same time. Recently he and his wife experienced the loss of their unborn daughter and he has shared some truly beautiful photos that allow his audience to mourn their sweet Willa Rose with them. So many of his photos seem to say so much more than you'd expect at first glance.

Ashley's feed is the perfect mix of bright and happy! Every time I look at her feed I end up wanting to make a million different projects. Her DIYs are unique but easily tackled by the average person. I really love that DIY art in the lower right corner above!

Kirsten's feed is full of inspiring interior spaces and I love to lurk through her photos and daydream about furniture. She also manages to throw in just enough personal/family/real life to make everything seem attainable.

Amanda's feed is perfect, and part of that is probably due to the fact that she's one of the sweetest gals around. I love to pop in and see what life is like on the other side of the world. Since she's always in the opposite season from me, it's a fun glimpse at what I seem to be missing at the moment.

Here is my second installation of my monthly Instagram favorites. Each month I choose 5 accounts to highlight and I share a few of their most recent snaps that I've enjoyed. Some are highly curated, some include more "real" moments, and some are just really nice to look at. Hopefully you find a few new favorites to follow! As always, you're welcome to share your favorite accounts, or even links to your own, in the comments below! xo

BlushShop is a the feed of a cute little boutique in Canada and I'm in love with the colors of this space. The pastel pinks, the paint splattered floor, the gold accents... I'm a sucker for retail inspiration and this feed is full of it. There are a lot of staged product photos, but I enjoy that personally!

Laura's feed makes me want to get outdoors and explore! She captures some of the most beautiful scenery on her adventures. The light, the texture, and the vastness of the spaces she chooses to share... Ah, I love it!

Ali's feed is a very "real" depiction of her day to day, so it seems. She's a designer at Ban.do and I enjoy the variety of snaps to be found on her Instagram. Everything from behind the scenes photos at work to regular every day pics of her and her friends.

Amber's feed is one of my all time favorites. This girl knows how to decorate! I love looking through her photos of her home, even though it makes me pretty jealous of all the gorgeous natural light she seems to get! She also shares a lot of really precious photos of her kids, but not in a way that seems to exploit them like some moms on social media. It's almost like you can feel the love between this family via her account.

Rebecca's feed is a one stop shop for all things creative and wonderful. She's a Colorado-based photographer, calligrapher, and floral artist. Seriously, she does it all. And she does it so well! She's also a really really sweet person. I'm always fawning over the gorgeous snaps she takes of elopements in the misty mountains.

// Instagram Favorites: June

Confession time: I am a sucker for a well-styled Instagram photo. Give me white space, natural light, and things positioned "just so" and I'll like it. Maybe that makes me super cliche and stereotypical, but I don't mind. I just really appreciate a good aesthetic. Don't get me wrong, I love the "real life" aspect of Instagram as much as the next person, but lately I've been gravitating more toward purposefully styled accounts to follow, while keeping more of my "real life" viewing on Facebook. I think there's been a huge shift in social media over the past couple of years, and that has trickled down into the blog world as well. Instead of devoting time to reading and following blogs, we've become so used to "liking" and instantly commenting on photos shared on Instagram. At first it really bummed me out, but now I kind of like the change. It's allowed me to open myself up on my blog again and just write whatever I want. Of course it has also encouraged me to do ridiculous things like "styling" my bowl of Froot Loops (yep!), but whatever. It's a give and take kind of relationship, okay?

Since I've found so many wonderful new IG accounts to follow, I thought I'd do a monthly roundup of my 5 favorites for that month. That way you can get a little glimpse at the photos these users share, the kind of aesthetic I'm loving at the moment, and new, inspiring accounts to follow! Here is my first edition... my five June favorites!

I love the soft, airy feel of Cassidy's feed. It's a mix of lifestyle, fashion, and family... all with the most gorgeous color palette. It's the "overall" look and feel of her Instagram account that drove me to pick her this month. Everything looks so beautiful together!

Heather's feed is exactly what I imagine Portland, Oregon to be like. Her photos are gorgeous, but they have this fog and grain to them that my other choices lack this month. I feel like I'm hiking on a misty mountain while wearing a sage green bomber jacket and knit beanie when I look at her feed. And that's a compliment, I promise!

Give me lots of white light and bright colors, please! Ashley's feed has all sorts of inspiring images ranging from her handwriting-inspired mugs to styled shots of her meals and snacks. I'm glad I'm not the only one who styles my cereal!

I don't read The Everygirl blog very much since I don't feel like "one of the everygirls" ya know? But I can't help but adore their Instagram feed. Spoiler alert: there is absolutely no shortage of peonies in their feed... You know, in case that makes or breaks it for ya!

Lily's feed is one of my most recent follows and I am in love with her use of color. She manages to make even an awkwardly styled photo look beautiful (I'm looking at you, cake photo in the lower left corner! haha) I've definitely noticed that color is the biggest factor in the feeds I've gravitated toward recently, and it's so inspiring!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I'm all for real life snapshots and photos on Instagram. My feed is full of them. But these 5 feeds above make me want to look at the world a little bit differently. Maybe try to find the beauty in the little things... a new composition or angle. It's amazing how a tiny little phone can hold the key to so many inspiring possibilities. I'm going to be more mindful of what I snap and share.
