// Rust + Chevron

This is my third and final look that I scored with my Chippmunk gift card! I know several of the girls opted to spend their gift card on one full look or even just one piece, but I wanted to get the most for my money so I opted to get 3 dresses and a cardigan. This dress was a bit of a reach for me in terms of the pattern and color palette, but I'm in love with it! It was a surprising fabric/feel (very satin-y vs. the cotton I expected) and it was definitely for the best. I was totally won over by the pattern and colors once I put it on. That tiny pop of turquoise at the bottom of the skirt totally sealed the deal. I knew I had to add my rust-colored cardigan. I'm a fan of matchy matchy at times! A nice oversized "carryall" tote was a nice pairing, too. This is the IZOD bag I picked up on clearance a couple of month's back. I brought it with us to the beach this week because it's the perfect beach bag. These colors are more of an Autumn color palette, I know, but it was sort of nice for a grey/gloomy day in mid-Summer. 

Today I'm hoping to work on my tan and check out a few of the recommended places in town. I spent some time thumbing through Yelp to find a few establishments that looked interesting enough to pop into. If all else fails we've got an amazing lake just around the bend, and we're hoping to rent some canoes + kayaks! I'm hoping our photos of this place do it justice because it's unreal! So so gorgeous! We packed up instant cameras, film cameras, our digital camera, and even 4 disposables for the trip! Im notoriously bad about not taking photos of trips when I really intend on doing so, but I'm hoping I can rack up the film rolls on this one!
