Did y'all have a nice holiday? (Or a nice end-of-the-week for all of my non-USA readers?!) We were 100% rained out so we didn't see the first firework explode (unless you count the incessant posting on Instagram! haha) We took it super easy on Thursday and just relaxed around the house. Yesterday we did a little bit of work before heading down to Lawrenceburg to see Mike's parents and his sister. They cooked us a delicious meal and Toby wore himself out by operating at max speed. We got home around 10pm last night and we were all just so zonked. It took everything I had just to stay awake long enough to watch some Ridiculousness with Mike. (That show is so funny!) Last night was my first decent night's sleep in over a week so I relished in it a bit!
Another yellow outfit because apparently it's my favorite color to wear lately. I'm not sure I'd normally pair butter yellow and mint together, but I kind of like it. I bought this dress on Ideeli about 2 years ago and it didn't fit very well so it just lurked in the back of my closet until last week. I love the length of it, but the bust takes some getting used to. I paired it with some mint accessories (a huge ring! and this Northern Sea necklace is the bomb dot com!) and my thrifted straw clutch. I've been really working to carry mostly clutches as of late because I'm trying to whittle down what I feel like I "need" to carry in my purses. (In my clutch currently: iphone, my "little book of ideas", a sharpie pen, and a tube of lipstick. awww yeah.) Maybe this dress will actually get more wear now that I've taken it for a spin. I can't get enough of these shoes... even if Mike does think they're far too pointy haha! I haven't shopped on there in a while, but Ideeli is seriously one of my favorite places to find dresses and shoes on the cheap. They're currently having their semi-annual sale right now so you can save up to 90% on all sorts of goodies! I'm definitely getting my browse on haha
We're officially 7 days away from being beach-bound and I don't even know how to get through this coming work week. Goodness knows I've got a mountain of emails to tend to before even thinking of jetting off, but I am so ready! I'm going to ask y'all a million times between now and next Saturday, but if you know of any rad local coffee shops, boutiques, record stores, or hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Pensacola or the surrounding areas (all the way to Gulf Shores, etc) - we'd love to hear them! We're going to be there for 8 days so we really want to try and see everything we can and not limit ourselves to the super touristy stuff.
I hope you don't totally hate me for it, but I'm probably going to leave you with daily outfit posts while we're gone. I already have like 1 or 2 weeks of backlogged outfits so I'm crossing my fingers you don't totally hate those posts :P Guess we'll see! Happy Saturday! It feels like a Monday over here.

Pointy shoes are my favorite. They elongate the leg and that's always helpful for my short body! I love these mint green ones paired with your pretty yellow dress. The color combination is awesome! I think the bust of the dress is really cool too.
